That looks much better, I will give this a try once I finish some work

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
I have NVIDIA driver 347.88 currently. That is the one I installed when I followed your instructions

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
I have experimented with zoom levels a little as you've mentioned, and it does indeed help making the illusion that the buildings and trees disappear at a distance just like they would in real life as the angle between your eyes and the buildings height decreases. However, in order to use zoom-levels correctly in order to feel comfortable flying the sim, I will need some sort of camera changing software. I have heard OpusFSI and EZDOK could serve this purpose. Anybody has any experience with these?

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
Well, looking at this picture from another thread comparing some autogen settings: http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7289/11440272736_deb890fb63_o.gif There seems to be a clear "horizon" or better said "radius" after which autogen is just not generated anymore and therefore, shows up as a big blurry patch on the terrain. I think this is normal behavior, as only people with payware add-ons have improved "scenery" addons that surpass the default by a large margin as seen in George's video

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
I see...so I think we're stuck with this low radius of autogen then, unless the region includes better autogen through payware

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
Even in your picture, it seems right below the aircraft and a little bit further looks great. But as soon as you move a little too far, you lose autogen and you lose texture clarity. I think this is all P3D and the way it handles the radius of detail. Even if I pause the sim and let it have it's time to load autogen, it does not. Only if my aircraft is moving, the buildings start loading. But then I wonder how George got his autogen to show so far away in his configuration video:

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
I do not have FTX global installed yet. This is in the default airport that loads with P3d - KLFI

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
Can someone send post a reference picture of this exact scene during the default flight? Just bank right after take-off, this is how I'm getting these pictures. I just want to compare what it's supposed to look like

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
Here is the screencap after following all of your steps on a vanilla installation of P3D 2.5 http://gyazo.com/3dd905dbe003d80235052f5e55f1451f http://gyazo.com/06ab386593da501df8d16ef7e0afb898 I still see major blurries after the water body

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
Thank you Richard, I will try that right now. Also, here is a recent screencap before performing the steps you've mentioned above. http://i.gyazo.com/73ab5b0461a8d4103c5bfd4f54d55a39.jpg Is the right side of the red line the proper quality, or is that still blurry?

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
Thank you all for some of your tips. Although this is all very discouraging, I still sort of want to believe in the promise of P3D. I have performed a stress test on the card as recommended by a few of you. These are the results: http://i.gyazo.com/4caf27ce3a1c4c35255431585a0bcb7f.jpg The card as you can see, ran perfectly stable, averaging between 154 and 184 frame depending on the position on the scene. Temperatures never surpassed 74C. That rules out the card. Now, what program should I use to stress my processor? EDIT: I was not convinced by that other stress test due to the fact that it's only based on OpenGL performance, so I loaded Unigine Valley running on DX11, Ultra HD settings at 1080p with Vsync off. http://i.gyazo.com/a283f900df6f18e226311ed7b69e75c3.jpg The card performed just fine, and in comparison to other people with the same card using the same benchmarking tool, I am getting higher scores and better frames. So I am ruling out the card in this one.

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
Bad news guys :( I just formatted the whole machine. New drivers, new installation without addons, just George's P3D settings. And this is straight from the default flight: http://i.gyazo.com/76aa082b0af650e21585f21f29fd4752.jpg And as I move in, they start popping up one by one http://i.gyazo.com/4a52ddfb3dbef98d003a3c75bb9bc85d.jpg I take off, I see very nice autogen next to the airport. Take a right, and cross the waterbody and see those really ugly blurries with no autogen on. Is there something else I should be looking at? EDIT: Here are some pictures of my CPU usage and temperatures during this test flight with vanilla P3D 2.5 on a new installation http://i.gyazo.com/f08bc43d3467afd6962dba68f1610c03.png http://i.gyazo.com/e92a6212280a66c268fa755946f36eb3.png

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
The card is not overclocked. And George, thank you for those! I will definitely give your settings a try.

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
I will try formatting this drive and performing a clean install of everything, including video drivers. Will report back guys! Also, I will test this without any add-ons, and install one by one as I test. Thanks for your replies. Is there anything else I should be looking at?

Question regarding Prepar3d 2.5 behavior
My current LOD Radius setting is 6.5. I have tried increasing that to 9.5 even, and I see no change. I also read somewhere on this forum that that setting doesn't do anything anymore on P3d since 2.4
