Hi. As part of my flight planning prior to setting up flight sim I usually relied on Sim Brief as i get all the necessary info that i need and flight plans for my PMDG, or so I thought. i will in most situations not get the correct real time runway departure and arrival info. I used to correct this by using AirNav Radar Box that was very accurate with the ACTUAL take off and landing runways. they however no longer provide that info. Does anyone know where one can get real time runway departure and take off info? obviously trying to keep is as real as it gets. (I'm also using real time weather) Thanks in advance Steve

Thanks Chris. I also get the HRESULT: 0xC000014B error. I run all the programs in Admin mode and I also closed all the background programs/processes (mostly adobe Photoshop......) still with no glory. I have sent you my email address. thanks kindly Steve

Hi, I have a problem with FSXWX, or I think it is the problem. I am running Windows 8 and FSX acceleration. recently FSX stops working and goes mack to the "free flight" page. this is usually after about an hour or so. I am also running Worldwide Virtual Acars at the same time and PMDG aircraft. this started after using updating to the new version of FSXWX 1.6.3 which was mandatory as the earlier versions wont work with their new server "apparently". the version 1.6.3 worked for a while but now these issues. I have the latest .next, FSUIPC (free version) I tried the following. Ran without Acars but with FSXWX and PMDG and it crashed. Ran it with just Acars and PMDG and all was OK. I tried this with PMDG 744, 777, and 738 and had all the same issues. I tried the UIAutomationCore.dll 18000 version and the 16386 version but to no avail. So the next thing that i did was to install a new HDD into my PC installed Windows 10 Pro and duel booted my PC. A fresh installation of FSX and Acceleration. loaded my SA scenery, as well as PMDG and got the same issues. did all the above tests but to no avail. has anyone had similar issues and maybe rectified the issues? Hi all. thanks for all the input. i followed some the threads and this is the one that worked for me: I went to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Control, Class, {4d36e967-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}. Find line UpperFilters and check PartMgr. Important PartMgr must be whit capital letters If it doesn't change it". Mine was "pagemgr" so i changed it to "PageMgr" After it you must see registration window. Remember you must firstly install FSX, run and activate it and only after it install Acceleration pack.Problem 3. When i started FSX i got the activation screen, I inputted the serial that came with FSX Acceleration, and presto, activated. I did notice a difference in the start screen, while it was in "demo mode" there were no "missions" but now is shows the missions, (not that i ever fly any missions anyway) once again, thanks for all your help. Hi, After recent issues I had with FSX I decided to install a new HD and duel boot to windows 10. (my original was on my windows 8.1) I installed my boxed FSX Deluxe edition, activated it with the supplied key. (in the orange strip in the DVD case) it activated OK. i started up FSX and then closed it. i then in stalled the boxed FSX acceleration expansion pack. when it completed it did not give me the option to activate it. so i restarted and it said that it is not activated. i closed the info window and it then started. I then preceded to install all of my add-on scenery and aircraft. as i was about to set off on a flight i received a notification that my Demo version of FSX has now expired and then it closed. is there a fix for this? Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum but maybe you can help me. I was messing about with installing scenery and I accidentally deleted my Seattle.bgl file located in Microsoft flight simulator X/Scenery/NAMW/Scenery/Seattle.bgl its not in the recycle bin neither. Steve

Hi, I recently had some freezing during long flights using the PMDG 777F. from what i have read it could be FSXWX. the advice was to use FSXWX for initial take off and climb to cruising altitude, then when descending start it up again. so i tried it and when i reached FL360 i disconnected FSXWX and suddenly my TOT jumped from -21 to +55 degrees C. it also effected my altitude, it suddenly went from F360 to FL220, also the speed dropped to just above stalling speed. i tried to recover the climb back to FL360, but it could not climb as with the low speed i kept stalling. i tried to climb in small steps such as 1000ft at a time but with no luck. when i reconnected FSXWX it went back to the original FL360 and correct speed and TOT of -21Deg C. but then after 10 minutes FSX froze again. is there a workaround to this. Hi, I am having difficulty getting FSX to generate the correct weather. every time i fly from FAOR to FACT FSX will always have the wind show in my PMDG at 276 degrees. FSXWX shows different at 170 degrees which is the correct wind direction..the FSXWX is more realistic as i can see aircraft from where i live and they were landing on runway 19 however on my PMDG the wind direction shows 270 degrees which is OK for runway 01. I'm not sure if it is FSX or PMDG. also i see AI landing and departing off on runway 01.

Hi, thanks for the reply. as usual CAA SA has to make things difficult. i don't see why they don't just publish an RA. i do engage both CMD's. i get a FLARE display but sometimes too late or not at all. I have noticed that if the FLARE and RETARD do not go from white to green. not engaging. i thought that it was my DA was incorrectly selected. also i have both courses and RNW heading dialed in.

i'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this topic, but i'm having a problem with the CAA South Africa approach charts. nowhere is there any mention of a RA, DH, or DA. i want to make a full auto land at RNW19 FACT, and don't know if i should use Barometric or Radio Altitude setting for the Cat11 landing. i think this is my problem as i am just assuming that it should be a RA100. i am flying the PMDG 737-800ngx and every time i land i get a touchdown of -550 to -750 fpm. this unfortunately rejects some of my flights submitted via ACARS. i also have the same issue at FAOR.

Hi My system specs are: CPU: Intel Pentium Dual E2200 2.02 GHz LGA 775 Mother Board: P4M890 Ram: 3 GB Graphics: Nvidia Ge Force GT 520 PCI-E 2GB SDDR3 C Media PCI Audio HDD: HD1635SI ATA 1TB Direct X 11 Windows 7 Pro 32bit D-Link DFE 530TX PCI fast Ethernet adapter 500W PSU i have noticed that in task manager the task host uses 50% of the CPU, (this cant be normal?) also when i shut down there is always a program that needs to be closed but i always have to force the shutdown. i have started to delete some programs from my PC including FSX, with intentions to reinstall it. i will try running FS9 in the meantime until i get everything sorted out. unfortunately i deleted FSX before i could get a crash report, but i know that is said something like "App Hang X proc...... or something to that matter. not too sure how to use the event viewer Regards

Hi. I am having problems with my FSX not responding. It will boot to the start screen and then hang. When I go into task manager it says not responding. I have uninstalled the sim and reinstalled but with no success. Anyone have same or similar problems? :( regards Steve

Hi Mel I am using the NVidia GeForce GT520 PCI Express, 2GB DDR3.according to PC Wizard my driver is: nvd3dum.dll Ver 9.18.13.1106, description: NVidia WDDM D3D Driver Ver 311.06. I hope this helps. I would install the 64bit but I have already loaded all the 32bit drivers / software etc. and maybe a bit of a hassle reinstalling. Cheers Steve
