Hi Just trying out Airhauler, put it on network as it was too much cpu hug. Everything works except AH Traffic and its stock market, don't use stock market. I have widefs and sim connect working fine for ASN,FSC, OPUS, FSRealtime AH windows popup in sim as expected and all that is ok. Tried to let AH launch p3d by running on same server pc, But not surprised Migration tool was popping up complaining when AH tries to launch P3d, subsequently the p3d launch fails, AH connection window remains open with no green for connection to p3d. Which is expected since p3d off by this time. Hoping I can get to see dynamic AH traffic, so I can install my AiRound for Traffic viewing pleasure. I need tips gents, AH2 not till late spring, and am fast running out oh holiday. Go on tell me why my AH traffic is static.

@Potroh Well since scolded me, I am now encouraged to explore fsuipc axis use again. Hope it helps with the realism setting so I can turn it to full again. But really Mr Pete Dawson, yes you, am talking to you, we could do with a fsuipc GUI update only for the axis setup, to make more user friendly like in sim axis setup. Will give this a try when I got some time, still recovering from p3dv3.1 setup. But I posted so someone would give reason to turn those realism sliders back to 100%, well you on the spot Potroh cause am gona do that test. P3d is just creating sales for pete dawson with all this half finished modules. Would be interesting if to say, only way to get proper working axis in p3d is via fsuipc, well, I will try it, but I hope youre wrong Potroh, cause litigious types would call p3d a Christmas gift given that you need another tool for proper axis on a flight sim.

I save the config profiles which stores all the options as you mentioned file export config to save file import config to load it. always ensure the config you editing is the one you expect to be loaded, 2. My Start sim config, shuts down a load of stuff, moves affinity for some, change mem io priority ect, set p3d affinity, sets cpu mode highest power, etc 3. My endsim config is mainly to help shut down all the addons I had running with p3d, can be a chore turning off each addon, So I load endsim config for that, basically all my p3d addons are set to dissaallowed in this mode. so they get shut down 3. Neutral mode config is for normal pc running used when installing stuff etc, You need This if you really mess with your sim mode config ilke I did, Basically skinned windows processes to the bone You picked the right question asking about profiles, cause its the biggest trick in the book regards lasso. Start by using for simple stuff like 0. Backup lasso default config 1. Set p3d as game mode, and set p3d affinity 3.Set all non essential non system process to run on cores not used by p3d 4.Also set memory io priorities 5. Don't put p3d under probalance control, tried it, causes stutters, everything else wants it though including addons 6. If you break your windows with lasso, start windows in safe mode, shut down lasso governo, load load default settings 7. Check cpu core bars while flying, use this info to determine which cores to add load to or unload regards affinity settings. 8.If you have any really badly cpu hungary addons or other process that cant be killed, reluctantly try Porcess Throttle options on that particular process, avaialable like all other options by right click on process. under "less common options" 9 Using Sim mode profile might I could kill off or reduce resource usage for tasks I wount normally touch, example changed affinity mask for all the svchost I could find. changed it to 01 only. Did not touch mem or iO settnings for svchost , being craefull. 10 Check lasso logs below to see which tasks are struggling to stay in their box regards resource usage. Its got Probalance insights. 11. I have done a lot of test regards best priroty for P3D under lasso, I found anything above "Above Normal" could easily lead to crash on heavily OC'd system like mine 4.8Ghz to 4.84Ghz. 12. Ensure profile loaded takes effect by looking at log screen below, should show tasks getting killed , affinities being changed etc, if not load config file again, or shut down restart lasso governor . A good way to tell which profile you have loaded is checking the list of disallowed tasks for that profile. My neutral config only has win10 update task disallowed Sim mode config has everything from print spool task to etc etc etc and who killed the cat. Its a shame the developer not provide easy way to know which profile you currenty loaded Have fun, Next time you get bored in cruise, bring up lasso see what your real engine is doing Don't forget Lasso is powerfull, Backup first, measure 3 times , cut once. Hi The rule installing rex textures to p3dv3.1 was to unselect rex water, cause it leads to some corruption "am no expert" Been working this way, but anybody got any updates regards when rex water animation etc can be used with p3dv3.1 cheers

I use fsuipc for buttons but p3d for axis. I find the insim axis setup easiest to work with and remember how to setup. You could perhaps say those who don't have this problem are using fsuipc for axis. Is it possible this problem only related to those using p3d axis. In any case, hope this leads to improvement somewhere usefull

All this started when I trusted ASN update for p3dv3., which subsequently resulted WMI iesssus, failure to reinstall and now its not happy with dll.xml in p3dv3.1 And this is the full version latest 5833 fpr p3dv3.1 Something is defiantly going on here, there is a moved topic on hifi support only one I could find on this issue. plus I have been updating HIFI products since well before As2012, and all was ok with ASN till I used latest update. Thanks for tip on simconnect, I always install all versions on my client and server. Gona be enjoying Opus till they sort out with fresh release or I get used to Opus. The lesson, if you don't wana labour hard, stay weeks away from updates

Well still having issues. The latest 5833 supposed to work with p3dv3.1 does not like the idea. Brining all sorts of connection errors. Something strnage going on with ASN regards p3d3.1. The only question on this particular to[[ic on ASN support forum has been moved into members only area , dan and I don't remember my login details , and too tired now to bother. Already installed Opus, been looking for the excuse to get Opus for years, networks right out of the box, working with p3dv3.1. Don't mind heads up when ASN sort this out, but they should not have moved only topic on this in their website to private area, only makes it worse. I made the effort to google search ASN forum, the only topic where someone having same issue is me moved to private area. Forces user to labour carring around login details for every product he has. Don't kick p[aying user out with pirates. Already in chat with HIFI support to resolve this, surprised got email boxing day. Hacked my way from 5833 wount install to now loading, but does not like p3dv3.1 says asconnect not happy. Already installed asconnect in p3d about 20 times just for good measure.

Beware folks, pusing the envelope of any aircraft could expose your lack experience, in my case I was pushing the minimum landing runway for mooney acclaim when all this started. I have already overshot the dan runway twice. Rwy4 LFGT

Alright, I just remembered I am not the real illiterate here it ProATC Co-pilot that gave me the impression that Mooney Acclaim has spoilers, it wasn't me honest. There I landed in one of my first ProATC flights smiling impressed with how the Co-pilot handled descent , approach and vectoring, on the ground I noticed spoilers were also deployed , I said Woow .. Go ProATC Go... Since then been looking for way to Arm spoliers in Mooney. Thanks again, ill be sure to read specs next time. And yeh ProATC now rocks For those who ever get left by ProATC on approach, check its moving map, its got fanstatic feature of updating sim flight plan dynamically for sid star. So if not got proatc set to auto load plan, you may be looking at original plan but without sid star, so you think where the heck am I going . back on topic, inform ProATC Mooney has no spoiler arm,

@Potroh Regards potential issues with P3d controls realism, I can only speak for what I see on my system and what I have read on quite a number of p3d forums, and consensus is divided. Glad to hear you lucky and find it works just like fsx on your system, there are opinions in this observation too. I am sure its not my controller, that is why I stated earlier in this post , steps for the test. Includes testing JOYSTICK with ZERO WERTHER EASIEST CONTROL REALISM. And as I stated before, I slowly stepped up the weather and realism in test s to arrive at conclusion that, Even though I am using same controller as I did in FSX Saitek X65 , controls realism in P3d v3 differs, and if one is not careful could wear joystick out easily due to potentially uncalibrated slider in p3d. Sounds like your yoke and pedals are not in danger since 100% works for you. This thread is more to help the 737 pilot in p3d fighting hard against 3knots crosswind.

all I need now is a way to get wind component based on given flight plan and am good to go with opus. any ideas ? and please don't ask me to go calculate average for each waypoint, cause am really asking for the calculator here. cheers

@Potroh I thanks for the detailed explanation, but we have folks flying 737 fighting rudder due to very little cross wind, that was all the Information I needed after my suspicions. All what you say I think is true for fsx and eelier versions of p3d. Always used to set max realism in fsx after every new install and boy did I reinstall fsx But on my system 100% in fsx is like 25% in p3d My interpretation of that is, there is an issue in way p3d handing this, or their control realism slider has not been properly CALIBRATED.

I already have a ticket open with ASN, and shockingly got feedback on boxing day. However the proposed solution is to install full version, which I already tried not working. Maybe its win8 related. Never had issues with ASN on win7. But in Win8 nothing but WMI hell. Anyway just tried Opus via network, not bad. Very easy to setup if you follow your intuition rather the manual details of live camera live view which confuses those who just want the weather engine. Nice haze nice clouds in Opus. Would be good for GA. ASN was my preferred for Tube liners. Has Opus weather improved for tubliners ? Also where do I get my Wind component now that I no longer have ASN briefing ? change is overrated it just more work ................

My tests were in v3.0. to confirm you need to start by] 1. Turn weather off by setting to clear all weather 2. Turn Controls all bar to the left 3. You need to set those to calibrate your joystick properly , then taxi to get an idea what things should really feel like. 4.From there add any weather with wind, realism still at easiest , and things should feel pleasant. 5.Now turn control realism to 25% as posted in picture above in this thread. 6.Now try 100% I have a read a post here on Avsim p3d of a 737 pmdg pilot, fighting rudder on runway cause of 3 knots crosswind. You choose, Your JoyStick or P3D uncalibrated controls realism settings pay your money take your choice. I hope they fixed in 3.1, just installed not tested so far.

I either hang my head in shame, or send letter to mooney design team asking them to add spoiler Arming thanks for the education. I shall now, without dignity mark this post as answered. cheers

thanks a much for the feedback guys, am really spoilt, don't fly anymore without addon weather. Forgot to mention am looking for only weather engines that can run from network. I think Opus sounds most positive. Off to see networkability of Opus And FsGlobal Weather For the record I a may record. I think a very highly complex licence system for ASN means its virtually impossible to totally delete its presence from your computer and when it fails, it means you can practically never do a fresh install to work. This helps security of the product against piracy its a nightmare if you paid for the product and it treating you like pirate ASN WMI error message blues. When too much software security getting in the way of product use, time to move on Hoping with FsGlobal weather Opus, if they break, I can uninstall, clear registry and reasonable chance of fresh install, with ASN it always knows where you had it installed previously even if you starting from fresh OS. This results in lots having WMI issues with ASN.

Having WMI issues with ASN using latest p3d. So looking for alternatives that ARE KNOWN working with latest p3d. I have read posts on other forums regards some having problems with ASN update, so like me went back to get the full installer for latest ASN b5833 still issues installing. So any tips regards known working weather addon for p3dv3.1 much appreciated.

cheers for that. Its default p3d mooney acclaim g1000. So far cant see any indication on panels showing Spoiler Arm Status. I have a 3rd party gauge that shows spoiler axis, but would like to know if its armed or not. failing that, added joystick control to just arm spoiler rather than toggle the arming of spoiler. But its not a safe solution. cheers.

Hi Updated ASN with p3dv3.1 version., but ASN failed saying wrong version of p3d So decided to uninstall and went for full b5833 version after uninstalling older version. Now getting WMI errors which happens every time I update ASN. used a tool to fix this last time, but not fixing it this time. Never had issues HIFI win7 just win8, which is my network laptop Any help cheers

Hi Been searching the web for any kind of indicator of SPOILER ARM STATUS I have full spoiler control, but lacking indicator showing if spoilers armed does not have to be a gauge but something visible in 3d or 2d cockpit got registered fsuipc and fs panel editor if it helps any tips welcome cheers

thanks for heads up on calibration tool, still in p3dv3.As you can see am still setting up v3, v3.1 still a step too far. Hopefully if more folks can confirm possible issue , a good Samaritan will eventually inform LM cheers

try in full screen and non full screen mode I find undocking issues react differently depending on screen mode. Some also try setting p3d icon to win7 compatible etc, sometimes work sometimes don't. Also try NVidia settings in single screen compatible mode and multiple screen compatible mode.
