Okay, I don't know if what I'm doing here is wrong, but I don't want to hijack someone else's thread for a similar issue. First, I'll start with some specs. The joystick I have connected is an Xtreme 3D Pro, by Logitech. I am running Windows 8 I have a dual monitor setup. I have the following mods installed to FSX: FSRecorder GSX FSPassengers Now to the problem. My issue was bought up in this thread The poster too has a dual monitor setup and whenever they click onto another window, the Joystick just randomly disconnects from FS. It still won't show up even after unplugging and re-plugging. The only way to "fix" is to restart FS. This whole time, the joystick is still listed in Device Manager. What I have tried: Updating my video card drivers as suggested - no go I came across another thread suggesting to install a dll file - no go Restarting my computer - no go Shifting what port my joystick is connected to - no go Disabling that power option to stop USB devices from "going to sleep" - no go Someone had said that it could have been something in the Windows update because some Windows 7 users were lately experiencing this too. When I was running Windows 7, I never really installed updates. The problem only occurred since my upgrade to Windows 8 Professional. I love Windows 8, but FS is what's making my experience hell.

Okay, trying your suggestion now. I have done all those 4 things. Awesome, moved it to My Documents and it is working perfectly!

I never understood the date either because you Americans always have it around the wrong way.

Hi guys. Recently, FSRecorder has not been working for me. Whenever I launch FSXI get this error message. If I click Yes FSX has a CDT, If I click no, it continues to launch without FSRecorder. I have done some research and came across this thread http://www.fs-recorder.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=818 , but it is dead with no solution. This problem just randomly came from the blue, I had made no changes to FSX before this problem occurred.

Wow. Setting Target Frame rate to unlimited seemed to increase FPS

Well thats why I got this one. Even with settings at minimal, im getting noticeable lag with default stock airports and planes. I did a full FSX reinstall along with all the addons i have, but didnt do anything. :(

Well, im happy enough at the moment. Dont need an overclock yet. I also dont have good enough cooling.

I've got no idea, it was a more so a gift. A friend of my parents who owns a private IT business bought it. Don't know where he got it from. I saw some YouTube videos of the same processor with nice smooth FPS. EDIT: I have ORBX FTX Australia installed. I removed that and it made an awesome improvement! Its a lot better now and I've gt a good 20 FPS. I dont really need ORBX FTX Australia anyway, I'm happy with default terrain. I'll modify some cfg settings to get some more improvements. I think this thread is solved now! Thanks for all your help guys!

Hey guys. Im new to the forums. I got a brand new computer not that long ago and I'm very disappointed with it. It costs around $3500 and I'm getting the opposite of what I was expecting. I'm getting a laggy 10 FPS on any airport without addon scenery. I get around 5 FPS with ORBX YMML v2 addon scenery. I've tried many things to fix lag but nothing has worked. I really need to get those FPS up to a good standard. Here are my computers specs. I would appreciate it if someone could help me get to the bottom of this.
