  1. Hi Bryan, Is there a voice command to have the FO execute the flows in Manual Flow / Command Selector? I tried the preliminary cockpit setup one and it did not work. Was also difficult to find info on it. If not, pls can you consider adding and also consider adding some notes on that, so that voice users know there is no need to try? Kind regards, Daniel
  2. I had to copy the patch link and manually paste it on a new tab, but then it worked.. Thanks!
  3. Thanks Gerald, 2.9.4.1 installed and that worked. The patch above did not download, but assume that is included now.
  4. Good afternoon! Just noticed on YouTube that competitors FO is able to turn on the batteries. Does this mean that MCE FO will be able to do this as well shortly? 😎
  5. Good afternoon, On your website, downloads page, Aerosoft CRJ link in sentence 'Now fully integrated with FlyByWire A320 mod and Aerosoft CRJ for MSFS' actually links to FBW. FBW A32NX is a separate plane in MSFS now. Will you continue to support it in the MCE Light version or will it shift to Ultimate version only? Noticed a new version is live (V2.9.2.0.). Thank you! Does this replace all patches issued recently? Do you issue a change log somewhere? Kind regards, Daniel
  6. Thanks Gerald, For the set speed, heading altitude etc. I probably should have said that I know that all works with speech, but I am looking to know if they could be triggered as part of a script. Not saying I have a need for that now though. I am still on stable. What I am doing is building a spreadsheet with columns for panel, a command for each switch/button/what you have that would be usable in a script, the result for stable version and when that is ready, accurate and working, then add a column with results in developmental version. If you have this already, then pls can you share as I'd rather spent my time differently, on the next phase, building the scripts to my liking. Why am I doing the sheet? Because when I start to work on scripts, I want to be able to use a database and quickly copy/paste what I need knowing that it works or knowing it does not work and is not planned, rather than trial and error at that time to get it to work. That is just me. 😎 Kind regards, Daniel
  7. Hi Gerald, In airbus arrow up/down is used to scroll through a list. I have set to 'not planned'. Thanks for the hints on the three others. Yesterday and today I did some checks on some other panels. As an update is expected soon, the things I found will have been discovered by yourselfs too, but just in case, I will list them here anyway: Kind regards, Daniel Panel Commands Result glareshield first officer efis control panel push your altimeter for qnh not simulated glareshield first officer efis control panel your altimeter to qfe not simulated glareshield first officer efis control panel your altimeter to current applicable could be custom press B on keyboard glareshield first officer efis control panel push your altimeter knob not simulated glareshield first officer efis control panel right alimeter set three zero zero zero not simulated glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis show constraints Accepted, but done on captains side glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis hide constraints Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis show vor Accepted, but done on captains side glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis hide vor Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis show waypoints Accepted, but done on captains side glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis hide waypoints Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis show ndb Accepted, but done on captains side glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis hide ndb Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis show airports Accepted, but done on captains side glareshield first officer efis control panel your efis hide airports Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield first officer efis control panel your nd mode to arc Says set to map; sets to VOR glareshield first officer efis control panel your nd mode to plan Says set to plan; sets to VOR glareshield first officer master warning clear your master warning not simulated glareshield first officer master caution clear your master caution not simulated glareshield first officer chronometer start your chronometer not planned glareshield first officer chronometer stop your chronometer not planned glareshield first officer chronometer reset your chronometer not planned glareshield flight control unit panel switch to mach not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel switch to speed not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel set speed two five zero not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel set heading zero niner zero not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel localizer mode on Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield flight control unit panel localizer mode off Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield flight control unit panel select heading vertical speed does not recognize it is in trk/fpa mode glareshield flight control unit panel press track f p a Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield flight control unit panel set altitude selection increments to hundreds not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel set altitude selection increments to thousands not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel pull altitude knob Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield flight control unit panel display metric altitude on nd not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel hide metric altitude on nd not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel set vertical speed six hundred not simulated glareshield flight control unit panel approach mode on OK - but light in button remained off.. glareshield flight control unit panel approach mode off OK - but light in button remained on..
  8. Noticed something today which I noticed earlier too. When I load the flight and have it sit for quite a long time before I start MCE, MCE will not initialize correctly, the log states not all Hvars are accounted for. When I close MCE and restart MCE, then it states that all Hvars are accounted for. Any idea what causes this to happen? Small observation about Dieter introducing himself. He alwas (perhaps not always) says his name twice.
  9. Hi Hadi, You need to give the increase lighting command to reach full luminosity 4 or 5 times. At least I have not tried if there is a command to set the max brightness instantly. The maximum brightness is quite ok I thought, but if not enough maybe Gerald and Team can help you some other way. Kind regards, Daniel
  10. Hello Peter, I wondered if the above includes the installation wizzard? You have to enter your name. Did you hear it spoken back to you? Did you do speech training provided in the wizzard? Did that work OK? Without a license key the wizzard will still run, the program itself does not to the best of my knowledge. Daniel
  11. Hi Hadi, Pls see below. Lights for both mcdu units are increased/decreased simultaneously by a single command. Panel Commands Result pedestal left mcdu decrease fmc cdu lighting OK pedestal left mcdu increase fmc cdu lighting OK Hi Gerald, At first MCE start Hvars were not all accounted for and I had to re-start. I found out as none of the mcdu commands were accepted. After a restart all Hvars were found and many actions worked as expected. It is only when you deep dive that you find that there are 72 push bush buttons on a single mcdu. Below are the ones that did not work as expected. For the two special ones I have to find out what it is what they are suposed to do before I can comment. The listed commands were not known ones by MCE. perhaps you can shed some light on these. 12. To my knowledge I have not changed permissions, but it sounds something happened that prevented proper file transfer. I copied to my documents folder. Assume that is where they needed to go. So when I understand correctly there is a permission issue with my documents folder (not the program files folder where core MCE program is installed in)? Would be a pitty. MCE is a great program. Hope you can take that barrier down some way.
  13. Thanks for the responses Gerald, As there were no files as I had deleted everything, would the installer not have copied Asobo script folders to documents automatically? I use default file locations for all FS/MCE etc. related. Yeah, he works in Rotterdam too. Thought he was the purser. Should listen better when he is introducing himself I guess. Thanks for the hint on how to mute. Yes, I will move to Development at some point and will report issues found. Regards, Daniel
  14. Happy to report much more is working now 😀 ECAMS - as before - no change Center instr panel - clocks - same as before Center instr panel - landing gear panel: all work, but autobrake wired incorrectly - see below Panel Commands Result center instrument panel landing gear panel brake fan on OK center instrument panel landing gear panel brake fan off OK center instrument panel landing gear panel auto brake low Set autobrake to medium! center instrument panel landing gear panel auto brake medium Set autobrake to maximum! center instrument panel landing gear panel auto brake maximum Switched off auto brake, nothing on 2nd try center instrument panel landing gear panel auto brake off Set autobrake to low! center instrument panel landing gear panel anti skid on OK center instrument panel landing gear panel anti skid off OK Glareshield - captain chronometer - All Ok as before Glareshield - captain EFIS: All OK now except for the altimeter knobs. Also what is text command to set altimeter to three zero one two (or any variation)? Setting standard is the only action I got to work for this knob. Few months ago I installed flows for the NEO from David. He introduced Dieter. After my reinstall I still have him onboard! how did he manage to do that? Also the FO asks for the ramp without me asking for that. I think I had to copy some xml file. Is this file causing some of my problems? Will find the installation instructions for that one now and see.. EDIT: Think this is default MCE behaviour as everything changed by the named flows was deleted at uninstall. IfThen, how can I stop Dieter to introduce himself in the cockpit? We already met in the crewroom. 😎 Also no need to ask for the ramp. It will come and go away within a few minutes anyway. Kind regards, Daniel
  15. Today I have tried to do a complete and full uninstall and re-install of MCE. What I have done: Pls let me know if I had missed a step. Copied license key file and flows to keep to a safe place Removed the app through windows app remover Deleted MCE directory and all files from normal program location Deleted MCE directory in appdata\roaming\ Deleted MCE directory in documents Restarted computer In app data I came across a log file that said not all Hvars were accounted for. Perhaps this was the problem? Then I re-downloaded the latest version from the website - version 2.9.17 - and installed as administrator and ran the wizard, but skipped voice training as not required. Then I started FS2020, loaded FWB A320NX at EHRD and waited for at least a minute before I did launch MCE. MCE started normally. Of course I needed to redo a few settings. Keeping Clive for now for testing. One problem: no voxscripts were copied to the documents folder. I know where to find them, but this seems like a flaw in the installation process or there is another log/ini file somewhere that I should have deleted and I did not know about. I have copied all scripts from the installation folders manually. Checked the log file again, but still it shows the message that not all HVARS are accounted for. I now exited out of MCE to re-run to make sure the missing scripts did not cause the hvar error message. That seems ot have done the trick. No hvar error this time. I will now re-check all the flows done before and will report in a separate message. Logfile seems clean now: Logging started Simco64_Ldr loading Created Simconnect session CreatedSimconnect data definitions Mapped Simconnect Events About to enter main loop Created Simconnect LVars definitions Hvars received Hvars received Lvars received Lvars received Lvars received Lvars received Lvars received Retrieved all relevant FlyByWire Lvars Retrieved all relevant FlyByWire Hvars Kind regards, Daniel
  16. Hi Gerald, Thanks for the feedback. I will continue to report as I go through them all. Just a note so that we are on the same page: when I add 'accepted, but does not do anything' this means that the FO responded as if he was going to do the action, but he could not. These commands did not trigger the 'MCE does not recognize this command' message. Clock on center instr pnl: for the bottom clock, pls note the commands did the opposite action. The reset is not spring-loaded (perhaps it should be) but a setting, so perhaps make the reset a separate selection option. for the upper: made a note that this one is not planned to be integrated altimeter: "altimeter to qnh" was not accepted by MCE, the others were. Ultimately, I would be looking for Airbus standard call-outs, but I did not check for that at this point. LS: "ils off" and "ils on" actually are accepted by the FO, but he does not push the button. (I use Mike16 for voice) Tried all above EFIS commands again, but they had the same result (accepted, but no action). PS: For the UI, for VOX script, for the VoxScript input field, would it be much work to make paste into that field work and/or place the cursor anywhere in the text, so that the whole command does not have the typed again if you had a typo in the first word? 😀 Have a nice evening, Daniel
  17. Hello Gerald, Thanks for these. These 3 worked. Today I have checked three more panels. To limit the list I will copy only the items with issues. Note: I am listing them here, not to complain or anything, but to help get it fixed and to learn. This takes quite some time. If you have overviews of what works and what not and accepted verbiage for the knobs, then pls could you provide that to me? Would make my life a lot easier. I do not mind if some is just not ready or even not planned. I just want to know what I can expect to work and what not and the needed verbiage. 😎 Kind regards, Daniel Panel Commands Result center instrument panel clocks start timing bottom clock: does reset, then stop position center instrument panel clocks stop timing bottom clock: does start the timing center instrument panel clocks reset timing bottom clock: not simulated center instrument panel clocks start center chronometer upper clock: not simulated center instrument panel clocks stop center chronometer upper clock: not simulated center instrument panel clocks reset center chronometer upper clock: not simulated glareshield captain efis control panel set barometric reference to qnh not simulated glareshield captain efis control panel set barometric reference to hpa not simulated glareshield captain efis control panel set altimeter to current applicable not simulated glareshield captain efis control panel Push altimeter knob not simulated glareshield captain efis control panel Pull altimeter knob not simulated glareshield captain efis control panel set standard altimeter not simulated glareshield captain efis control panel ils on Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel ils off Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis show constraints Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis hide constraints Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis show vor Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis hide vor Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis show waypoints Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis hide waypoints Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis show ndb Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis hide ndb Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis show airports Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel efis hide airports Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel nav selector one off Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel nav selector one to adf Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel nav selector one to vor Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel navigation selector two turn off Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel navigation selector two set to adf Accepted, but does not do anything glareshield captain efis control panel nav selector two switch to vor Accepted, but does not do anything
  18. Hi Gerald/Ben, Nice work on the FBW. Really happy with it! 😀 Many things are working correctly now of course, but a few more than expected items did not work. I was on FBW stable 6.1 and have reverted back to 6.0 just in case, but that does not seem to be the problem, because they still do not work. For below items pls can you let me know if they should work now? IfThen I may need to do a more thorough reinstall of MCE. I have tried variations on these, but no luck. 19. Thanks for your extensive answer Gerald, Topic 1: I understand your reasoning with KISS. At my job one of our our mottos - we like to think our strenghts - is to Ebrace Complexity and we try to do that in a KISS way of course. 😀 Just asking to see if there would be a way to satisfy both. Yeah, I am always looking for maximum reaslism and do realise not everything is possible. Topic 2: So with Verbose off, the Notify statements will stil be heard. Nice. You are right then, I can. Will reach out to support for a preview. Kind regards, Daniel
  20. Good day Gerald, all, Pls can you help me with below question I have regarding flows: 1) Can the FO - as part of a flow - read values in the sim and then use that as input to determine which next flow to start? Examples: Depending on battery voltage FO should connect to external power and let batteries recharge for 20 minutes Depending on time of day or amount of light present FO should set lighting to a defined setting low/medium/max 2) Instead of giving the FO the command to set something either verbally or in a flow, can you ask him to confirm the current state and only have him correct it if it is in the wrong state/position? Examples: Instead of "Gear down" could I instruct him to just verify the position of the gear lever? 'Check Gear Lever in down position' --> 'Gear lever is in down position' I know when you instruct Gear Down, he will check and tell you it is already down, but could it begin with a position check, not an action command. Instead of "Weather radar off" could I instruct him to just verify the weather radar is off? 'Check weather radar is off' --> 'weather radar is off' or 'weather radar is on, switching off now' Looking forward to hear from you. Regards, Daniel
  21. You are welcome, Just copied this from their discord: We have been testing World Update 4 on our end for about a week and have concluded that no compatibility fixes need to be made. You can continue enjoying the existing supported versions without issues. The Dev version is updated at least once a day.
  22. https://flybywiresim.com/ Here is a link to the installer. I use the DEV version, as much more functionality vs the stable version. I never experienced a crash, but temporary issues could surface ofcourse.
  23. That is great news Gerald! Very happy to hear that 😀.
