PMDG NGX and 777 Not working Steam Edition
Hi Guys thanks for both your quick responses. After various searches on the internet I actually managed to resolve this by installing simconnect as stated in Jeff20 post. Runs beautifully. I haven't played my flight sim in over 12 months and realised just what a steep learning curve these aircraft actually have. Took me nearly one hour 30 mins just to get the bird in the air lols. Once again thanks both of you for your replies. Regards Jason Shephard

PMDG NGX and 777 Not working Steam Edition
Hi First of all please forgive me if I have missed anything obvious on the forums with regards to the issues I am experiencing with both the 737NG and the 777. I redownloaded all the installers after login into my account at precisionmanuals.com. I have installed them both into FSX which I am running through the Steam Edition of FSX. I have checked both planes and so far are unable to do anything with them. The panels do not work in both planes even to the point that some of the switches are even missing. Also the engines are not displaying correctly. Also on the 777 the landing gear does not even show up. I am using newly downloaded installers from your main website which is suppose to support the steam edition of fsx yet neither aircraft are fuctional. Any ideas how to fix this. I have uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Regards Jason

Unable to stay at cruise target speed
Yeah that's what I thought. So I'm gonna report this issue to HiFisim.com as it's not the first flight where I have had this issue.

Unable to stay at cruise target speed
No mate don't use FSInn. Just doing another test flight from LEMD - EGGP 737NGX 700. Maybe to do with Activesky 2012 after all atm I'm climbing through FL290 and the aircraft is holding the correct climb speed nicely, lets see what happens through to cruise fl 360. OAT is currently -18c at fl 300. I'm beginning to think that due to the last flight where the outside temp was showing +38c was what was causing the plane to struggle to climb and hold it's airspeed. Time to check with Hifisim see if there are any issues reported atm. If i can find how to obtain my forum details that is. Okay here's an update. Currently in Spanish Airspace FL360 outside temp is -21c and cruising nicely at mach 0.79. So no problems. Gonna report this to hifi sim and see what they say.

Unable to stay at cruise target speed
Okay this it seems is not due to the PMDG 777, by what I can tell it's do do with FSX. I have the same problem with the PDMG 737MGX. I decided to close down Activesky 2012 to see if that made a difference and it didn't. I changed the weather settings to weather themes, clear skies yet it clears it for like 5 secs then reverts back to user defined settings, which i check it's shows no winds but in the sim it showing a wind of 003/17. How can there be wind when the wind setting is clear in the menus. I used FSUIPC to clear the settings and again I get this weather bug, the outside temperature revers to +38 degress and even in a light load and light fule the aircraft is struggling to climb above 30000ft for it's optimum altitude of 370. Any ideas what is causing this as I have no other programs running except FSX. Okay so I just closed FSX down restarted it with a default flight and the weather is off. So maybe it has to do with Activesky. Hmm this is wierd. Looks like i'm gonna have to investigate a bit further.

Unable to stay at cruise target speed
Unfortunately I can't post a pic of either as I have now finished the flight. I was using Activesky 2012 as my weather addon. The purple marked showed that the speed should have been -.84 but stayed steady at around 222 kts. If this happens again I'll let you know.

Unable to stay at cruise target speed
I don't know if this is a known bug on a couple of flights I have had I am unable to maintain the cruise speed at FL390. Target cruise is set to Mach 0.84 but the airspeed drops to around 222 knts. The only way I can maintain the correct mach speed is to stay in CLB mode not cruise. I know my weights and fuel are fine im using Topcat along with PFPX, my wieght on this particular flight was a ZFW of around 177.246kg with 29, 385kg of fuel so I was not over weight and the cargo was balanced correctly. My cruise N1 was 88% and it won't hold mach 0.84 yet the clb n1 is 101.3% and will hold the airspeed. Anyone have any ideas on this? Regards Jason

Omg What A Bird!
Hey Folks Just returned to my flight sim after 12 month break. Decided to dive head 1st and purchased the PMDG 777. Wow what a aircraft. My 1st flight was of course the tutorial flight. She ran flawelessly on my rig running max settings with ai set to around 70%. Ran smooth as a baby's bum lols. The touch down was absolutely perfect floated down to the runway just like a feather floating to the ground. Great job on this aircraft guys, look forward to many amazing flights with this bird and with your PMDG NGX series. Thanks Guys for making my evening so enjoyable. Regards Jason

So Glad I bought my new rig. Have flown the NGX on both the tutorials and fell in love with her. Also went ahead and bought both the button version and voice version of FScrew. My next purchase has got to be AOA's NGX videos. Was a bit unsure of how FSX would run on this new rig, runnning max graphics, AS 2012, and loads of addon scenerys FSX performs amazingly well above my expectations. Looking forward to the 777. APU will not start
Hehe Solved this. Just did a maintenance and seems to have solved the issue. Just completed an amazing flight in KLM livery from Aerosoft Schipol to FSDreamteam's Zurich and she performed flawlessly. Looking forward to seeing what I can do with this bird, i.e failures etc. Now I just need to find some decent textures to replace the crappy fsx default textures for Europe and the states. Already got some megascenery. Lax looks amazing with megascenery installed. When I can afford to gonna get some Orbx stuff too. Regards and Safe Landings Jason

Well for numerous years I have only had a pc capable of running FS2004. What have I been missing lols. Got a new right with a I5 Quad with GTX 670 and FSX runs amazing. Have done two test flights with the PMDG 737NGX. Wow absolutely amazing. Using AS2012 very smooth frame rates, no stuttering. Well what can i say that hasn't already said. PMDG has way supassed my expectations on this bird. She's absolutely stunning. Well done guys looking forward to more of your superb products. Regards Jason

APU will not start
Oh And I also checked for any faults within the fmc and none were there. Also failures was turned to off. Regards Jason Well got the aircraft in the air using my work around. Will have another go from cold and dark later. Regards Jason

APU will not start
Think I may have found a temporary work around for this. On the initial load of this aircrat it starts with the engines running. I can get the apu running then, So I do that then I shut down the engines. All I then need to do is load up the fmc and restart then engines and I should be good to go. Just gonna test this out. Regards Jason

APU will not start
Hi Thanks for your replys I know to select start first then run on the apu, the egt never rises. I get a low pressure warning which never goes out and the word fault next to it, Can't double check on that as not in the game atm. I am in the middle of downloading the sp for both packs to see if that fixes it, and yes I start out with FSX default flight which loads into the vc and from there i load the pmdg aircraft. The plane loads with engines running and I choose cold and dark short from the fmc. Then go through the process of getting the bird up and running to the point where the apu will not start, no indication of the egt rising the needle stays firmly still and does not rise. Regards Jason

APU will not start
Hi Guys Finally bought myself a rig thats capable of running FSX with real nice fps and graphics. Today I bought the 737NGX with the additional 600/700. At the moment i'm trying to load up this awesome looking bird from a cold and dark situation. I enable the battery and the standby power. But I am unable to initialise the apu. I hold down the apu start switch to run till it clicks but the apu doesnt power up. And the needle in the display doesnt rise to show the apu power starting to run. I have all four fule pumps switched on and nothing happens. Even the FMC is blank. I have tried running the tutorial from the start and got to the point where I couldn't even start the engines. On checking the apu, the apu was on but no power was being supplied even the the bleed air was on. Am I doing something wrong? I also own the 737, 747 and MD11 for Fs2004 so I am not new to advanced simulations like this. I am running FSX on Win 7 in its own folder outside the program files(X86) folder with admin rights. Bit dissapointed I paid over £60 for this plane and I can't even fly it. Regards Jason
