Well for numerous years I have only had a pc capable of running FS2004. What have I been missing lols. Got a new right with a I5 Quad with GTX 670 and FSX runs amazing. Have done two test flights with the PMDG 737NGX. Wow absolutely amazing. Using AS2012 very smooth frame rates, no stuttering. Well what can i say that hasn't already said. PMDG has way supassed my expectations on this bird. She's absolutely stunning.

Well done guys looking forward to more of your superb products.

Yeah I appreciated FS9 - it had a stellar run. But with so many incredible new addons for native FSX (aren't out for FS9) it's tough not to switch. And the hardware required for FSX now is much much less (read spend less cash) than it was in 2006.

Check out the RealAir Legacy, Flight1 Citation Mustang, Lotus L39, Carenado King Air's, A2A simulations stuff for some amazing FSX addons. If big jets is your thing PMDG's MD11 is nice (but that was already out for FS9)... their J41 is awesome for FSX. You've got Coolsky/McPhat DC-9, Captainsim stuff for tubes etc...

I almost went out and bought FS9 when FSX did not run as well as I expected on my 2008 Apple iMac. Fortunately, I was able to find settings that allowed a consistent 20 frames/s. I have since upgraded my system, and would not ever consider trying FS9 with so many exciting upcoming products, such as the FSL A320, PMDG B747 V2 and B777, etc.

Perhaps in the future, X-Plane will be the new thing to consider, and FSX will be gradually phased out. . . .

Try it again with Opus instead of ActiveSky... woooo!

And also try FS2 Crew. It completely changes the way you fly, amazing piece of kit.

So Glad I bought my new rig. Have flown the NGX on both the tutorials and fell in love with her. Also went ahead and bought both the button version and voice version of FScrew. My next purchase has got to be AOA's NGX videos. Was a bit unsure of how FSX would run on this new rig, runnning max graphics, AS 2012, and loads of addon scenerys FSX performs amazingly well above my expectations. Looking forward to the 777.

I do not recommend CaptainSim FSX stuff.

I have 2 birds - those are looking amazing, but from system point of view those are crap.

Most systems are just dummy ones, those which exist are questionable.

Carenado King Air

You like their King Air Ryan? I've been hesitant to get it because their old Cessna 340 was a little awkward, though I enjoy the heck out of their C210.
