  1. I'm sorry if that has been covered elsewhere but couldn't see anything recent under 777 or 737... I know there were initially licensing issues which were going to be resolved but can someone direct me to a summary of what (if anything) is compatible with Prepar3d v2 at the moment? Even if you just direct me to another post. The 737 was my favourite plane in FSX..
  2. When I save a flight plan, say a community flight plan in REX with the intention of opening it from within P3D v2, I get a fatal error and CTD when trying to open it in P3D. However flight plans saved within P3D and even some flight plans opened from a FSX folder are fine. I can't find anything online to explain this....
  3. Actually I found this on Tom's Hardware: Will have a look at that. Sorry what do you mean by "memory settings are correct"? I'm a newbie
  4. It didn't seem like it was about to do that. It went black and I turned it back on. Maybe I will try waiting. But there was no warning that it would reboot; it happened literally the moment I pushed enter. My motherboard is an ASUS P8Z77-V LX.
  5. When I go to BiOS and push the 'OC' button to overclock the computer just goes black immediately and turns off. Is this a power supply issue probably? If so is there a particular power supply voltage that will take me to 4+GhZ? I don't know if anyone can explain why there is no multiplier setting to easily OC to say 4.2 and stepwise up? Lastly I plan on buying a GT 660Ti card is this overkill? Thanks so much
  6. I went out and bought the better i7. For $150 or something I might as well have the power for whatever else I will do in the future, I would rather do that than upgrade later on for more $. I'm planning some web development programs, my other hobby. I can sell the old mobo and CPU on eBay as it is a good setup although not ideal for fsx. I have kept my video card and will update that next after tweaking everything. Much to my surprise the computer didnt blow up after I built it (new mobo too) although the video card doesn't work yet, probably (I hope) a problem with the physical interface needing some manoeuvring. My next problem is I will lose the room this year so time to finally install the sim in the shed with a projector.
  7. And If the 3770 is not overclocked? I think that would require more cooling than I want to work at At the moment I am leaning towards a 3770k and keeping my graphics card if that works, tweaking the config and reassessing.
  8. Thank you. There is something wrong with some part of my system now, probably the graphics card (I can't drive my bigger monitor at all let alone as one of three) and it may be time to upgrade. So perhaps an i7 machine with an 8 series card... I'm in Australia
  9. What cables do you use on win 7 for 3'monitors? I couldn't do three but got 2 via VGA and HDMi
  10. I have an AMD Athlon II 3.5 GHz not overclocked or anything, and a Radeon ATi 6800 card. I really want to upgrade in a pretty major way; the system seemed state of the art for a moderate budget a couple of years ago and I see 3.5 GHz is still fast. But FPS is poor when using FTX YMML etc What can I do guys? I could spend say $750 on a video card if that gets me anything amazing although less is better obviously. But perhaps without a better CPU it won't be god on its own? (Sorry I wrote 8700 before)
