Could be a number of things. I've flown it for a few weeks. here's my thoughts:
Make sure your not over revving it. Lights will come on if you are over 100% rpm.
Check the oil temperature. If it's less than about 5 deg I turn off the oil cooling flaps. if it gets to 0 deg the fuel lines will freeze and you'll lose the engine.
After keeping an eye on those two things I've not lost an engine like I did when I was starting out.
