  1. This is done by the same director that created One Six Right, Brian Terwilliger. That was awesome documentary, and with him in charge this looks like another visual masterpiece.
  2. The Invisible Highway, a story how the airplane changed the world. Most extraordinary and awe-inspiring aspect of our world. Scheduled for 2015 release and narrated by Harrison Ford. Check out the first trailer. http://www.aviationtheinvisiblehighway.com/ Zoran
  3. Question for Dev Team. In respect to "control force simulation" given the described compromise, if one is to have good FFY (IRIS) in this case, are you able to speculate what effects this compromise would have on force feedback? Thank you. Zoran
  4. Great article and a testament to the success of this airplane. http://airchive.com/blog/2014/06/12/boeing-777-20th-anniversary-of-flight/ Zoran
  5. I've come across this new 737 channel on YT, great closeup videos of NG cockpit. Check out this CAT II autoland approach to Halifax. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRV7f7IKdr4&src_vid=m1aXX8WhAJo&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_2306885921 Enjoy.. Zoran
  6. Objective and informative, I do agree. In the basement, words can be misleading. Given the NYT visibility I wish that article shed more light on what draws as to FS world, beyond the fear of heights type comments, to Jaime's and Kyle's point. This is very sensitive subject from all angles, and perhaps an overreaction on my end.
  7. NYT story titled "Basement Pilots" related to flight 370 looks at our hobby from an angle that is perhaps somewhat misunderstood. Why would pilot of 777 go home and do virtual flying? As a RWP I do agree and there is no denying that our hobby can't replicate the feel of real world flying, however, there is so much more to this. FSX and PMDG help us connect with our passion for flying, and on some levels beyond what real world can offer. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/23/sunday-review/the-pilots-in-the-basement.html?hp Zoran
  8. I have posted this in the official support forum with no replays. What has happened is that I have installed the demo and discovered that FSX airports in the desert areas now have green patches, this seems to be related to the immediate area of the airport/tiles, see attached pic. KEDW, KRNO, KLAS ...all such airports have the same issue. I did uninstall using demo uninstaller but the issue persists. Did anyone experience this?
  9. More then likely its something with your settings or hardware (video card and or drivers). There is a wealth of info on D10 topic and related issues here at avsim http://forum.avsim.net/forum/569-dx-10-discussions-hints-and-help/. Also, Steve is good at responding, so that can be your starting point in finding what is causing your specific issues. Zoran
  10. I am using DX10 and NGX makes no performance difference between D9 or D10 in my case. Zoran Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
  11. I've attached picture of my NVI settings. As usual, everyone's mileage will very depending on computer specs as well as any other changes with FSX settings. Hopefully some of these work for you. As for cfg, most of these are already well known and work for me. [bufferPools] RejectThreshold=131072 ALLOW_SHADER_30=1 HIGHMEMFIX=1 [JOBSCHEDULER] AffinityMask=14 These two must match your NVI settings (auto inserted in to your cfg file during fixer installation MultiSamplesPerPixel=4 MultiSampleQuality=0
  12. Steve's fixer is a foundation, that addresses major known DX10 issues and provides more fluid sim, and the ability to have more eye candy such as bloom, waves etc. My system and settings tweaks allow for this kind of performance, not the fixer itself. 13. I7 2700 OCD to 4.7, 660ti 1GB and 4GB of ram. Remember, with dx 10 you have to also address your settings in fsx.cfg as well as nv inspector if you have nvidia card. Though I have a decent system, I still had to play with settings to obtain these results. Zoran Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
  14. For me, with DX10 sim is much more fluid and NGX performs much better. I can now max out all of settings including the bloom and have 30fps at all times. However, all this depends on you system strength, as well as settings like any other tweak. Zoran Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
  15. "1. Will it work with the PMDG 737NGX in all situations (day/night, dawn/dusk) without any problem?" Rick, it should. I have no issues and its working great with free dx 10 updates.
  16. I have 5ghz system and dx9 is very good, but there always has to be some kind of sacrifice. Dx 10 is a transformation! I don't have the fixer, yet, but just with free updates it's amazing. I am running bloom, and everything maxed out and get 30fps with NGX at KIAD. Dx9 can't touch visually what this has done to FSX, period. I hope it works out for everyone that is taking the plunge, there is no going back for me. Steve's work is worth in gold my friends.
