  1. Very nice...what GPU and monitor setup are you using for 4K?
  2. Thanks for the feedback guys @Angelo Cosma @deetee So I guess i'm safe with my current hardware then !!!
  3. Can some admin move this to the hardware section....sorry for posting this in the P3D section. Thanks.
  4. Hello Pilots, So I'll be getting the new Asus ROG Swift PG279Q monitor this week. I have 2 EVGA GTX 980's SC in SLI, coming from a single 1080p monitor, will I benefit from this 1440p 165hz monitor in P3D?? My current setup is as follows: CPU: Intel Core i7 5960x Overclocked to 4.5 Ghz GPU: 2x EVGA GTX 980's Superclocked RAM: 16GB Mushkin Redline DDR4-2400mhz Do you advise me on changing my GPU's to something else? I prefer Nvidia btw.. Thanks.
  5. Thanks DickB for the response...very much appreciate it. I'll send you a PM
  6. Hello pilots, I have searched the forums before posting but couldn't find any results for my issue. Anways...my question is, is there a way to reduce the thickness of the AI airplanes lights? They are too thick as if they are some sort of UFO's..lol, anyway to make them look more realistic?? Thanks in advance.
  7. Congrats on your new card flynman33. As mwilk mentioned, FSX doesn't use SLI...If your planning to go P3D in the future then maybe that would be worth it.
  8. Hello guys, Regarding this problem, I have changed the SLI bridge and used one that came with my previous X57 mobo and the screen blackouts has gone completely !! I didn't need to lower the clockspeed or raise the fan speed or any of that..it just worked. The bridge is a normal hard bridge not those soft yellowish ones. I have done several flights and all had no problems whatsoever....Finally !! Regards and Happy flights
  9. Thanks for the info Admin, and sorry for posting in the wrong section.
  10. Thanks for the reply cmpbellsjc Everything else is fine with the game..I barely have an CTD's. But this one frustrated me coz it was upon ending a 6 hour flight. Guess I'll purchase FSUIPC and see if it fixes the issue...If it didn't i'll do more research.
  11. Hello pilots, Don't know what to say but express my extreme madness...so after an almost perfect 6 hour flight from OMDB to LFPG. The game crashed with a g3d.dll Fatal Error upon final approach. I have ORBX FTX Global, PMDG 777-300ER, and Aerosoft Night Environment France. I guess i'm done with FSX..sigh
  12. Awesome....It worked !!!!! Thanks a lot Todd
  13. Hi, I haven't been playing FSX for almost a month, so I decided to play today. I run the game and I see the artifact as shown in the image Never had such thing before, also when in full screen mode the two vertical lines whill have a green chunk which will expand up and down with screen activity, eg. when I pan views Ezdok. I'm running on a single 1080p monitor, windows 7 64 bit and a GTX 980 SC with WHQL driver version 350.12. Thanks in Advance.
  14. Hello Pilots, So I installed Ice Traffic V5.0 and set traffic to 50% in FSX, but there is no traffic whatsoever. Anyone have experience with Ice Traffic?? I used to use WOAI which was great, but I wanted to try something else for a change. Any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks
  15. Hi All, What's the most stable version of FSRecorder or the one most of you guys use?? Thanks.
  16. I have the same issue as well with my EVGA GTX 980 SC, it happened to me yesterday while playing FIFA 15 as well, I had to force shut down the computer. Only workout for me is raising the fan speed to 40-45% seemed to make the blackout disappear...so give this a try if the above advice didn't work for you. Good luck.
  17. DVI Cable works fine so far no black screens
  18. I think it's a cable problem....gonna try another HDMI cable and will try a DVI cable as well
  19. Power Supply is a Corsair AX1200...is that what you're asking about?
  20. Hmmm not sure why I would have corrupt drivers...it's a fresh install on a brand new rig. It could be something with my graphics card coz I was in BIOS a while ago and the screen turned black all of a sudden and came back again...not sure what's going on here :(
  21. Hello Fellas, So I just built a new X99 gaming rig with Dual EVGA GTX 980's Superclocked, I know FSX only uses one card, that's not an issue. I installed FSX just fine without any addons yet. I noticed that sometimes all of a sudden the screen goes black but I hear the game sound in the background then the screen comes back again. It happens randomly. I'm not sure if this is a Graphics Card issue or an OS issue. Should I get back to Windows 7? FSX was running perfectly on my old X58 rig with a GTX 580 1.5GB card. I'm confused.
  22. Got it working...thanks alot for the help
  23. Oh my...how did I miss those knobs !! Thanks m8 ill give it a try and report back soon Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
