New update crash
Where do I find 1.6? The earliest version on my FS2Crew account page is 2.0.0.39. Thanks

New update crash
I have the same problem, it always crashes when I End Flight, even if FS2Crew wasn't used during the flight. As it happens after the flight I never bothered too much, but it's worth a mention if someone else sees it.

ifly 747 v2 - still only 7 or 8 repaints available?
Craig, I agree that the lack of repaints is puzzling, especially as the paint kit was released a while ago. There are some WIP threads on the forum but no releases. Sadly I don't have the ability to produce good quality repaints, although I have done a couple for my personal use, so I'm happy to wait until the professionals release theirs. Maybe the delay indicates an polygon optimisation process for SP1? On the performance issue I am one of those who isn't seeing a problem, on a very average PC. My FPS (in FSX) stays stable throughout the flight, normally 26-30 (locked at 30) depending on the airport. ASN is always running, as is RC4 and AI traffic. Memory usage and average FPS are monitored by FSUIPC and saved to a log file for later review in the event of problems. My longest flight so far has been London - São Paulo - London, with intelligent cruise active and payware airports at both ends, and no slowing down at the end of the flight. TTFN

To MD-11 or not to MD-11
IMHO Lee´s HD paints are better than the McPhat ones, and there is enough variety to keep anyone happy. As for the MD-11, get it ! It is still one of the best aircraft available, and is far more interesting than 777s and 320s. This one should be in everyone's virtual hangar. Terry Burns

What is your favorite PMDG plane?
MD-11 It has a certain "uniqueness" that a Boeing or an Airbus doesn't have, and PMDGs rendition is brilliant. 2d panel, great systems, does hurt frame rates and can handle time acceleration without throwing a wobbly. It is also a surprisingly good hand flyer for a very automated aircraft. Terry Burns

The MD-11 is my favourite PMDG simulation, and certainly the most interesting plane so far...
That was very much my situation, $80 for an older product (howver good it is) is too much. For some unknown reason I recently clicked on the buy button and saw the $60 price. That made for a very quick and easy decision and I've now joined the ranks of happy MD-11 pilots. If I had seen the $60 price earlier I would have bought it much sooner. Terry Burns
