What is with Nuvecta and their pricing?
Nuvecta's Treeline series is just what photo scenery needs for those areas not covered by airports, it simply gives you back the autogen trees. At the price they are asking for, this type of scenery would appeal to someone who lives in a certain geographical region, lets say for example Colorado and they likely all-ready purchased photo scenery for that region. The problem is what about people like me who want the entire USA covered, at those prices they are asking for well the words "you must be joking" spring to mind. Like other's have commentated on other websites they are Too pricey. I know they made an initial investment by paying for commercial grade data and the tools to create the scenery but I just can't see why the prices are so high after all most of the work is done using algorithms it is not as if someone is working hard designing the scenery. To get me and others on-board they are going to have to be more appealing with the prices like the more scenery you purchase the cheaper the price or even better yet a box set, although I would not personally spend more than 100 UK pounds and even then I would think myself crazy for spending that much on just trees. When any one has commented on the high prices they start comparing themselves to others like MSE2 but the MSE2 product makes a world of difference compared to default where as the treeline scenery is just a tree add-on. What do you think, are you happy to cover the states at their pricing or would you just buy one or two probably covering you local area or no thanks no way at those prices but I would if they are priced right.

MSE Belgium & Switzerland
Has anyone purchased Megasceneryearth Belgium? I could not find any specs for the scenery on the website what resolution is it using and how does it compare to the freeware one by Gerard (not wafflefight)? Also if I purchase MSE Switzerland and install it higher than Swiss Pro does that mean I will get higher resolution photoscenery and retain all the 3d buildings and tree's etc.

MSE2 Boston coastal issue
It's funny you should say that Mike because that is exactly what I saw in Megasceneryearth V2 Colorado, near the mountains. The scenery looked amazing with the river over the photo, Infact I landed Captain Sim's float based Herc there and it was one of the most exciting landings I've ever done in FSX. Since they obviously know how to implement this technique I do not understand why they do not use it elswhere, is it too time consuming? I think it is worth it because it really does look great.

MSE2 Boston coastal issue
I have purchased all the states and for the most part they are great but if I had a choice I would prefare no watermasking for rivers and lakes. It is not just about the problems that are introduced with masking but also the fact that FSX rivers and lakes just don't look realistic compared to the amasing colours that photo's provide. You end up with this hidiously artificial cartoon looking blight over the majestic photoreal scenery which breaks the immersion factor. I too beleave that most people who fly waterbased aircraft would prefare Orbx scenery. Out of curiosity if you provided no watermasking and someone wanted to land at lake tahoe could they install a scenery with a landable lake?

Virtavia B-29 Superfortress is released! :)
I would wait for them to put it on sale. Jeansy made some valid points about Virtavia/Alphasim. They are way overpriced for what they are, simplistic VC's although the aircraft modelling is usually high standard, simple flight dynamics and so on. Yet despite Virtavia's short comings the aircraft are a heck of lot more interesting than anything Carenado put out.

MSE2 Boston coastal issue
Hi Bernd. I have the same setup as you but without GEX and I have this problem too, infact it exists everywhere that has watermasking. I personally do not care about landing a plane on lakes and rivers and would prefare the watermasking was done out at sea but I would probably be outnumbered by the seaplane lovers. I'm no scenery designer but would some kind of exclude or flatten thingymajig work in this situation. Do you also have the problem of MSE Mass and Boston fighting over square patches of land? it looks ugly on my sim.
