  1. Hi folks, I was wondering, with the B314A variant we only get the camo versions of the BOAC liveries, with the P3D variant we got the gray/blue livery. Will that be coming across to MSFS at all? As a lover of BOAC currently our only options are to fly with camo liveries in wartime. Would be nice to fly that non-military BOAC livery if I could. Looking forward to the updates for this as they are released, Thanks, -Peter
  2. Hi folks, After my first flight yesterday theres a couple things I felt. As mentioned in the post above, the aircraft seems to be 'snagging' at the very back as you rotate, the impact with that point on the underside causes the nose to jolt back down in a very unrealistic manner. I have only flown the B314A model yet as I am a BOAC fanatic, but on the gyropilot there is the heading knob which is not in a correct position in 3d space, and then the other things for me would be the general features that are missing such as a correctly working Gyropilot, fuel system etc etc. I'm assuming this MSFS version will be modded up to the same functionary state as its counterpart in P3D? Or is this going to be a B314 'lite' feature version based on it's cheaper price than the P3D version? I worry that this MSFS won't reach the same level of systems features that the P3D one has. My big problem with the P3D version which I own, is it would continually crash and the systems were not polished. I think most of those issues in P3D have now been sorted, despite that I would prefer to fly the 314 in MSFS as its a more stable sim for me and the fps makes for a much smoother experience. Regards, -Peter
  3. Hi folks, So sorry, I just figured out my problem! Devs feel free to delete this thread Regards, -Peter Matthess
  4. Hi folks, I just moved MSFS to a larger SSD and now the Ops center can't identify MSFS or the DC-6 as being installed. Those fields are blank when you go to the liveries page and there is no DC-6 in the updates page. Does anyone have a fix for this, or should I reinstall the DC-6 from scratch? Regards, -Peter Matthess
  5. Also, Does anyone know if the B314A model update is far off, apparently it should be coming with the BOAC liveries (which I'm personally really interested to get my hands on)
  6. Yes as Ian Fisher and I have said, we think it's not ready yet. But we both love the aircraft for what it will be 🙂 Not exactly what it is now, so even though it needs work, we aren't hating on it without the appreciation for what's happened. I can say I'm super excited to do my first trans atlantic flight and to make some video tutorials on this bird once a patch comes in!
  7. I definitely echo all of Ian's thoughts on this, both he and I have chatted as we have been trying to learn this aircraft and I've had all the same issues that he does above. For this price point a BIG update patch is needed, also a custom fuel and payload manager for this pricepoint I would say is nessesary for these long ocean trip that we plan. It's not rocket science.
  8. Ah yes, that's what I've been doing, just sitting (work from home on my laptop) and steering the beast just with the rudder pedals, once it's trimmed at the right speed it sit's fairly comfortably at the right altitude. Until turbulence knocks it about a bit. But having the sperry autopilot actually working would be great, then I could do trans atlantic without having to stare at it for 9hrs. Also my first couple atempts I was having a problem where the engines would just die after about 3hrs of flight. I had them in auto rich setting which I thought would be ok at 8000ft, if they automatically regulate based on altitude. But apparently not, so I must try on auto lean next atempt.
  9. Thanks! so when you mean, 'don't forget about trims' you mean make sure you are trimmed out in straight and level flight before engaging?
  10. Has anyone actually managed to get the gyro pilot to work yet? I've tried it exclusively from both the VC and the 2d panel, both instances I start trimmed straight and level and when engaged it just banks me over into a steep dive or banks me up into a spin. Any thoughts?
  11. I heard about the tiny update they did the other day, I reinstalled, do you have any info on what this new update will contain?
  12. I'm definitely planning on creating some extensive video tutorials on this, from initial startup and understanding of the systems to taking it out on vatsim. As it's only been out for a few days so far it's hard for anyone to produce tutorials worth watching. Although I might do a livestream or two flying it. Problem is I'm having a time just to get the sperry autopilot to work! Every time I get it to engage it begins banking me into the ground.
  13. Hawaiian Airlines anyone? I have just found that they flew the DC-6
  14. Hi All, What is the state of the DC-6 rangewise, has it now been updated to be able to do trans-atlantic crossings? I loaded it up the other day and it looked like it could take more fuel, but I can't say for certain.
