Ecosse_821 I unistalled FSX-Boxed version. I am only using the FSX SE version. I am sure by now the UTX devs have fixed these issues with installation and you do not have to go through what I previously posted back in Dec. I know they fixed the GEX installation program. I would go back to where you purchased UTX and check their forums - I also bet they have an updated installation exe file that will install everything properly into the Steam/FSX directory.

I saw that thread FireHawk. It's discussing dual installs and issues presented with the DX10 Fixer program. Thanks for the link.

I only have the FSXSE version. I was thinking about purchasing the DX10 Fixer, but I dont want to waste money on a program to fix something that DTG might fix later in an update? What would you do in my situation with only FSXSE? Purchase DX10 Fixer now or wait to see if there will be an update from DTG to fix the DX10 issues?

This thread is getting pretty big now.... I was able to install a couple of my addons that couldnt find the FSX.exe and their installer wouldnt let me direct it to the location. I found the FSX Registry Utility that allows you to put the location of your FSX.exe into your registry creating a registry key. It worked fabulously! http://www.tweakfs.com/store/free_tools.php

Ultimate Traffic 2 Install for FSX-SE Before install: Files to be RENAMED: Go to Steam\SteamApps\common FSX Folder: Rename the FSXSEConfig to FSXConfig Files to be RENAMED in hidden folders AppData\Roaming\Microsoft: Rename FSX-SE main folder to FSX Then rename fsx_se config file to fsx Files to be RENAMED in hidden folder ProgramData\Microsoft on C: drive: Rename the FSX-SE Folder found in Microsoft folder to FSX Then install UT2. Next run the UT2 exe and setup UT2 how you want it, update your settings, and exit. Then go back and rename the above folders and the cfg back to their original names.

Any luck getting Ultimate Traffic 2 installed and working?

Ultimate Terrain North America v2. I was able to get UTX to work! 1. Go to FSX folder in SteamApps/Common and copy the Scenery.cfg file 2. Go to AppData\Roaming\Microsoft and open up the FSX-SE folder and paste the Scenery.cfg file in that folder. 3. Go back to the AppData\Roaming\Microsoft and right clicked on the FSX-SE and rename this folder FSX. 4. Go into the newly renamed FSX folder and rename the fsx_se cfg file to fsx. 5. Direct the UTX install exe to the main FSX folder in SteamApps\common. 6. After install go into the Setup Tool and make changes. 7. After everything is setup in UTX go back to rename the FSX folder found in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft directory to FSX-SE and also rename the fsx cfg back to fsx_se. Now I'm trying to get GEX to install/work - no luck. After install I get an Error 30.

Flight1 Super80Pro installs fine, BUT when you enter sim with the aircraft frames per second drop down to like 1 FPS. I dont know why?

I have been reading about all the tweaks that you have to do with the DVD FSX + the poor frame rates. I installed FSX-SE and was up in running in less than 20 minutes from purchase to in the air. If it was that easy for me I could understand why one would want to switch over from the DVD version. I really think it is a matter of time before the add ons software will be just as easy to install. It's a business and these devs want to jump on this new version of a sim that is 8+ years old now?

That is a good start - for just the 2nd day of release. Apparently FSUIPC cant happen soon enough?

Just FSX-SE These developers of these add-ons would be foolish not to make their payware compatible with FSX-SE. Have you seen the Steam reviews? This release has revitalized FSX and when people start looking to improve the graphics and plane selections they will be searching the internet for these add-ons. To me the payware companies should be busting their balls to get their software running on this version of FSX as soon as possible.

@jabloomf1230 You got Ultimate Terrain USA to work? http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=utxusa I just bought that and couldnt get it to install right - errors. What did you do?

I purchased the SE version. I went ahead and purchased Ultimate Terrain X Version 2.0 as well from the Flight1 store. I got excited because I was reading on here REX was working so I figure I would purchase UTX now and then REX later. Anyway UTX doesnt work. Hopefully they fix it.

So did DTG (FSX: SE) fix the following issues when you have the DX10 preview mode checked: Bridges not appearing at Night Runways that Flicker - This is a biggie!!! Progressive Taxi Has anyone tested this?
