Black Squares on the Sky - FSX AS NEXT
Hello! Lately, and in almost every flight I have black squares on the sky. Sometimes only as I leave the arrival airport, sometimes during the most part of the journey. These black squares come and disappear after a while or they stay for longer periods of time. When I disconnect AS next, these squares also disappear. Is there anyone that could help? I suppose that could have to do with the settings of AS Next. Thank you Dimitris

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcthe least I have seen till now is 19-21 fps momentarily in aerosoft thessaloniki X. In fly tampa venizelos airport the frames are more than 25 per sec. Noe is the time to return in international flights and see the response to other airports. Cheers Dimitris

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcDear emann I do not know if you can do it. I am not such an expert, but my feeling says that there is no such a command. I WISH I AM WRONG!! Personally, I always leave my FSX PC in the configured state, since I have a second PC to do anything else. Guys!!! I have good news! 1) I followed gboz and WotanUK's advises and bevel correction now is there! Right Click on Desktop, Change Resolution, chose the 5967x1080x32 (since this was the higher resolution available after I had done the bevel adjustment). Also changed the resolution from inside FSX. 2)After bevel adjustment, I have a little better fps performance, is it plausible? 3) Most Important: PMDG support gave me the solution! I had problems undocking the Overhead Panel. I started to believe that I am just destined not to see my Overhead Panel undocked to a touchscreen. But PMDG sent me a special panel.cfg file, which is made for 3X1 monitors. Ryan (the guy from PMDG) was relactant that this will work, since he knew that I fly with 6 monitors in total. BUT I was lucky!! Now the OVERHEAD PANEL is undocked and placed to the 24" touchscreen, where was meant to be! See pictures please. OVERHEAD PANEL ALL TOGETHER FMC and RADIOS now together I am so happy! Project has not ended. The 24" touchscreen (with the Overhead Panel) will be placed upon the 3x32" TVs, on a special mount that I will design, like the real cockpits!! After that, only the CPFLight hardwares will remain to complete the project (MCP, EFIS, COM, NAV, ADF, XPDR). Cheers DImitris

FSX Keypad
Hi Ron, I was wondering, if I assign let's say number "1" on keypad, will the number "1" on main keyboard be deleted? will there be any conflict?

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcDear emann, thank you for your feedback. With the 6 monitors set up (3 in surround mode) I still haven't found the way to configure the bezel adjustment. I believe (not sure) that I have to disable fisrt the second GPU (with the 3 smaller monitors) and then adjust the bezel correction. But I haven't found the guts to do so yet....hehehe...in fear that I might spoil the present configuration. I need an expert to visit me, offer coffee and food, and have him do the job! Hahahaha!! Till then...I will have to live with that bezel unadjusted config. Cheers Dimitris

FSX Keypad
Hi! I think it would be great if I could get one small keypad and use it close to my Yoke, so as to have some certain commands closer to me (example Ivap speaking through Teamspeak, etc). But then I wonder, how will I set it up? FSX "sees" my main keyboard. How will I add the second keypad? Does anyone use extra keypads and happen to know the way? I saw a very interesting keypad from Razor Orbweaver or something like that..it looks amazing... Cheers Dimitris

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcTill now I 've flown the B738NGX with the new configuration. In add on sceneries I get 18-19 (no less than that as far as I have noticed) to 25-30 fps depending on the scenery. Of course when I exit the scenery the frames return to more than 40/sec. I haven't the required programm to see the VAS usage. Do you have any suggestions? Maybe if I reset some settings in FSX, I'll get better fps inside the add on sceneries, because most of my settings are at the high level... Cheers Dimitris

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcSome new pictures of my fresh monitor cockpit Still waiting an answer/solution relating to undocking the Overhead Panel from PMDG support (have to also try WotanUK's advise, see above) Also, I have not yet tried to adjust the bevel correction. I get confused in the Nvidia Control Panel and I am afraid that the configuration might be lost and that I will have to remake it. Should I disable first the secong GPU (with the extra 3 monitors) before adjusting the bevel correction to the 3X32" TVs? Probably.....?? !! Apart from that, I enjoy every flight I make. Domestic flights till now, so as to get used to the new configuration.. Cheers Dimitris

FSX- To uninstall some ADD-ONS

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcYes I am operating always in windows mode. After I adjust the bevel correction, how can I know what is the precise resolution after the adjustment? And after I find the resolution numbers where will I put it? In nvidia control panel under the displays section? For example after I followed the steps you suggested, in FSX settings I found the resolution 5927×1080×32 and I chose this resolution. Should I change it again? I got a little bit confused now...

FSX- To uninstall some ADD-ONS
Hello and Happy New Year!! I want to uninstall FSPassengers and FSRecorder, since I do not use these programms anymore. Is the "uninstall" procedure through "Add/Remove" Programms sufficient or should I do any extra work? Is there any prossibility that a .dll file may stay inside FSX, after uninstall, and cause any problems? Thank you Dimitris

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcDear gboz, I followed your suggestion, and when I entered the airport, I saw again that the bezel correction had not been there. Does it mean now that I will have to deal with the FSX.cfg file? If yes, what should I look for? Cheers Dimitris

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcHmmmmIn fact in fsx settings I have checked the 5760×1080 resolution. So gboz you mean I have to change this and choose the greater resolution. Also check the fsx.cfg file and change to this 6000×1080 adjusted resolution? And then re adjust the bezel in the NVsurround?

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcthen maybe it would be a good idea to upgrade your GPU so as to be able to connect up to 4 monitors. Anyone that can give any advise about the bezel adjustment save option?

Interested in Triple Monitors Setup
Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcGuys, AS you can see above I finally managed to get it working. The only thing it is left is to make a flight. The undocked panels correspond to any change I make through the VC cockpit. I saved the configuration, re-opened it and it was there as I had left it. The only "drawback" is that I have to just move slightly every undocked panel so as to come "alive" in the correct way, for each panel is "stretched" at the beginning. When I do just grab each and move it just a bit, then every panel runs correctly. Does anyone know if this can be fixed also? (I will take a pic next time to show you what I mean). The Last THING I have to solve is the Overhead Panel problem (can't be undocked, I tried also PMDG B777 with the same results). The cursor comes dead (instead of arrow, "spinning" sign, and the frames drop, as something has been opened somewhere, but nothing can be seen- I started a topic in the AVSIM PMDG support forum and I sent a ticket to the official PMDG site waiting for a response). I have to try and follow WotanUK's advise (panel.cfg file and reenter the resolution size that corresponds to the panel I want to undock). I will stay tuned for further updates... Dimitris

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcIf I understand correctly, you want to use the 27" screen as the main screen flying VC mode and the other two 19", left and right of main to undock panels. If this is the case, yes, you can do it. The only thing I do not know is the specs and capabilities of your GPU... How many screens does the GPU support? emann072 I think I begin to wonder the same thing... I just adgusted the bezel for the first time and afterwards inside FSX I had the same exact result as before doing the bezel...So is there anyone that can answer this question?

B737NGX Overhead Panel not Appearing (shift+6)
I entered the corresponding .dll and from inside there I disabled EZDOK (disable<false>disable changed to disable<true>disable) and again nothing happened, meaning that I faced the same problem. The way I disabled EZDOK is efficient? I mean I didn't uninstall it but I disabled it as I described above.... If it is enough, then I know already that it isn't EZDOK...??

Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcDear WotanUk, I will have to try this solution. Till then I just wonder, why does this happen only when trying to undock overhead while I have no problem undocking FMC or aft overhead or the others? In fact the commands shift+2 and shift+6 are the ones that cause the problem... nevertheless I will try to follow your advise and let you know. Thank you Dimitris

Interested in Triple Monitors Setup
Bicilindrico replied to Bicilindrico's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcEmann, it you set up your monitors in surround mode then every time you open your pic windows will start loading and you will see that all monitors behave like one desktop. If I open fsx it automatically spans through all monitors. When I start EFASS sometimes fsx becomes a simple window but then I press the dedicated button on the right upper corner of the window so as to get larger and then it spans again to all monitors. Guys, I have good news. I managed to get the three extra monitors working! With no problems. I disabled ENB and realized that it was responsible for the panels to go black. Now I have to resolve my last problem: It is impossible to undock the overhead panel. Whenever I try to do it through "views" it by pressing shift+6 then the cursor's arrow is substituted by the "circulating/thinking" sign and the frames drop down, as if a window has opened somewhere but nothing is to be seen. Regards Dimitris P.S I will post pics of the new cockpit as soon as possible

B737NGX Overhead Panel not Appearing (shift+6)
Thank you for your reply! The problem is not the multiple monitors, since I faced it before using NVsurround. This is the time I just need the Overhead for undocking... It behaves as if the "file" isn't there...or misdirected... I have the latest PMDG updates and I check the PMDG operations center frequently. Could EZDOK be the responsible factor? If yes...how can I tell? By uninstalling probably? You mean to uninstall and re-install PMDG? Oohhh...that sounds frustrating...but if solves the problem...then I'll have to do it...

B737NGX Overhead Panel not Appearing (shift+6)
Hello! I fly the B737NGX, (ASNext, EFASS, iVap, EZDOK). Recently I purchased 3 TVs 32"(full HD) and through NVidia Surround I enjoy flying in VC (Palit Nvidia GTX780 3GB Jetstream) I also have extra 3 monitors, 2 touchscreens and one simple monitor, with the intention of using them to a second card ( Palit GTX 760 4GB Jetstream) for undocking some panels and gauges (FMC, Overhead Panel, PFD, MFD etc). Apart from the fact that I haven't find the way to make all screens work correctly, I faced a very important problem. When I press shift+1 a black window appears at the bottom 1/3 of the main screen. shift+2 nothing happens. And the cursor seems to go crazy with respect to disappearing the arrow and the "circulating" sign appearing instead of the arrow. shift+6 exactly the same thing. (where the Overhead Panel is supposed to be). All other combinations (shift+3, +4, +5, +7) work with no problems. I assume there is a conflict error but I do not know where to focus. I checked in Settings of FSX, "VIEWS" subcategory, and all the shift combinations are there. I tried to "disable" the EZDOK from inside FSX (GLOBAL DISABLE) but nothing changed. Where is this Overhead Panel? How will I recover it? What are the Steps? Is there anyone that could make a guess or a suggestion? Thank you in advance, Dimitris
