    Hi Bert, Just noticed your pic shows you wearing a Harbor Air shirt. Do you have any association with them? My wife and I took a scenic flight out of Vancouver (Harbor Water Airport) a few years ago in a DHC-2 Beaver. It was great. John

      Hi, no I am a regular passenger, living on Vancouver Island and using Harbour Air to get to Vancouver (harbour and airport..).

    Retired B747 captain. A real workhorse (B747) and I remember receiving black and white photos and other literature direct from Boeing back in the late 1950's early 1960's after writing to them (I was only 15 at the time). I wished I still had them.

    I also remember taking off from Heathrow in a B747 15 years ago and it seemed to take longer than usual to get airborne and there seemed to be groaning noises coming from the airframe and also some shuddering and I wondered if we were overloaded and/or the airspeed a bit on the low side on takeoff.
