  1. Okay so when I am running the 737 in windowed mode any time I try to click on something outside of FSX, FSX crashes. Has been this way since I installed it and doesn't do it for any other planes. Same problems as this guy it seems but I don't have a registered version of FSUIPC so I can't try his fix. http://www.avsim.com/topic/474350-ngx-causing-freezes/page-2 Thanks, Kyle EDIT: A screen cap of the event log.
  2. Did you ever find a fix for this? I am experiencing this exact same issue.
  3. Nice blog deskpilot, I read that over at the A2A forums. I posted mine there but it was in another RTW thread as I didn't want to take up space with a new thread. I didn't realize that fuel burn was constant, but it makes total sense now why it was acting weird for me lol. Guess no more time compression for me. And yes, I've already planned how I will cross the ocean. BGKK - BIKF - BIEG - EKVG - EGPE for the atlantic, UHPP - PASY - PAAK - PACD for the pacific.
  4. I change mine constantly, but it's usually around .4 - .6. Any idea if the Occulus Rift will work in FSX? I wanted a trackIR but not if the Rift is just months away...
  5. Nice. Will have to test it out when I get off work.
  6. I am using time compression but a max of 4x. I worked out a pretty good flight plan for the rest of my trip and it worked out to like 163 hours real time, so even at 4x that's a long trip haha. I wanted to stop in more places, but they'll have to wait for next time.
  7. Thanks guys, this is a pretty big challenge that I've set myself, but hopefully by the end of summer I'll be back in Seattle and ready to do it all over again (in a P-51.)
  8. Hi everyone! I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to flight sims and aviation in general. I wanted to find a good way to learn the skills I need, so I decided to fly around the world in everyone's favorite GA Aircraft, the Cessna 172. I started my journey from Seattle and headed east, I'm over Iowa right now. I'd appreciate if you would take a moment to look at my site, I've been writing about my experiences. Flying tips, route advice, or just general b/s is all welcomed! aroundtheworld172.blogspot.com Thanks!
