  1. Hi Steve, I will have to ready up on how to do that properly. I noticed the feature and experimented, but not surprisingly it didn't work - likely to do with "operator error." At the moment, I'm more focused on converting my Calclassics AI - that's become a bigger priority - if it can be done. thanks for the post - will post back in a week or so. DL
  2. Thanks OB, The Fixer indeed looks the way to go. Additionally, I think it'll be a necessary (if painful) process of divesting some of the less-used FS9 ports - concentrate just on those few I'll fly / can be fixed. Finally, I'm coming to grips with having to adjust expectations that there are no "perfect ports" likely in DX10, and in some cases, not feasible at all. Part of the hobby's evolution, I guess. Appreciate the help, and have a great evening. dl
  3. Thanks Roger - that summarizes it well. I think I'll focus on getting REX fully dialed in (itself no small feat, it would appear) and then revisit the port/DX10 matter - and as it appears, with the Fixer being the preferred tool. cheers, dl
  4. I know some time has passed on this thread - but since it's precisely the issue I'm dealing with, here goes: In the context of addressing FS9 portovers in FSX Gold+DX10, it looks like there is indeed two ways - Steve's fixer, and Addon Converter. So are there some objective differences pros/cons to each? I'm just getting to read about Steve's Fixer - and somehow I think that offers way more than what I need now - chiefly being to the conversion of the aforementioned FS9 ports - as well as (if feasible) the conversion of certain MAIW/Calclassics airports. As I mentioned in the Fixer thread - I'm running REX also. cheers, DL
  5. Hello all - new to the forum - but DL from SOH here. I recognize odorboy, vonstroheim, and a few others! My question is which of Steve's fixers do I need to fix my various PS9 portovers? Those range from some Virtavia models, some HJG jets, Calclassic props, and the lovely AFG Caravelle. I know of a payware one, and the freeware (v3.2.2) one hosted here in the library. I just bought a new system - i5, 8GB RAM, GTX660, FSX Gold/Accell, and in the process of installing REX. Thanks so much! DL
