  1. As a Brit you're bound to say I'm biased, but Orbx England has the right "feel" in portraying English countryside from the air (I've had a fair bit of GA experience here). However, it is missing the "Wow" factor. Besides the mountains (more like hills by US standards) in The Lake District, Cumbria, you get towns and gently rolling countryside. You do however get some great airports, both Orbx and UK2000. For something with a little more variation you'd be better looking at Scotland or Wales. I can't comment on N. Ireland or Eire. For a European region with more scenic highs, I'd recommend Norway... fjords, and etc.
  2. Thanks for all the recommendations and advice. I'm about to go buy the MilViz C310, though I'm tempted to treat myself and buy the Alabeo PA44 as well. It's my birthday tomorrow so I'm allowed! Cheers, Gabi
  3. Thanks Chock. The Milviv C310R is the front runner now. And thanks for the heads up about checking first the Alabeo/Carenado reviews.
  4. Hi Scott. So far the MilViz C310 is ahead in the race, but the decision would be straightforward if A2A had a light twin available. Trouble is I'm too impatient! (Though truth be told I'll probably also buy the A2A twin eventually).
  5. Thanks Egbert. The Commanche has been on my radar for some time. It's hard to fault the quality of the A2A aircraft. But for now it looks like I'll be investing in the C310.
  6. Thanks DJ. Might save up the pennies and invest in these two for my hangar, although the C310 looks like the front runner.
  7. Thanks Ken. The C404 is now on my shortlist, but am leaning towards the C310. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
  8. Thanks AnkH. The C310R looks very promising!
  9. Hello all, Can I have opinions on what would be the natural progression from the A2A C182 in training terms. I want to move up to twin engine aircraft for multi training. Nothing too beefy or racey. Something that would be relatively gentle on me but while still a challenge and giving me the next logical step up. I'd prefer steam gauges, but if there's an outstaning glass cockpit ac I'd consider that too. I've been through the Carenado/Alabeo catalogue but can't decide. Besides, there might be a something out there by another publisher. Will pay up tp £35 GBP for a quality ac that meets the bill. Thank you all in advance, Gabrielle B
