Hello I really want to do a super long haul flight in the 747 but it seems I have had a couple problems in the past with the plane not automatically handling the fuel tanks even though I enable it in the settings of the FMC. Also when I enter the fuel into the plane via the FMC then I have to set the correct pumps which i thought the computer should do. Do I need to do anything extra to engage the auto cruise. I want to run a flight in real time overnight Thanks

Hello I am currently in the middle of a flight from EHAM to KLAX in the 747 Queen of the Skies 2 and I am getting 2 EICAS messages which say Satcom Data Datalink lost Anyone know how to fix this? I tried searching in the manuals but could not find the answer. Thanks

Thanks I have Fly Tampa VHHX and know its has the charts but want to be able to easily select my approach in the fmc and have all the data entered. Also thanks to the other poster I will check out Navigraph.

Thanks, I did make sure to execute the flight plan and had all the info show up on the legs page for waypoints and what altitude/speed to cross at.

Hello so I am trying to do a flight from Telluride to KLAX in the 737-600 but for some reason cant get the autopilot to engage after takeoff. I have flown the 737 before and know how to setup the FMC and the MCP so that the autopilot will work and have completed many flight before. However the last few flights i made which were out of KTEX I couldnt get the AP CMD button to come on. Also the LNAV button lit up when I clicked it but couldnt get the VNAV button to come on. I eneterd the correct ZFW and fuel loads and other info in the PERF INT page and made sure the autothrottle switch was on as well as both Flight Directors. Any ideas why it might not be working? Thanks.

Hello I'm just curious if there are any repaints of the new PMDG 747 in a military grey like color scheme or unmarked white plane without the Boeing logo. I want to simulate doing a secret test flight or something similar and want a good livery to fit the flight. Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. Can you clarify about plug n play? I can't remember the name of the company that makes the CDU that I'm looking for. But it cost around $500 I think it is a dumb system as you describe and just displays the info from fmc in the sim. I know it's generic unit but I was wondering from a program perspective how it works and displays the info. The one I'm thinking of seemed like it just worked through usb or display port. Do you have any idea what product I could be thinking of? Thanks.

Hello. I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this question but I figured you might know more about this. My ultimate dream would be to be able to build a full cockpit but that would be too expensive. I can't seem to find it but I have seen a real working FMC that you plug into the computer for around $500 it would be cool to have the feeling of pushing real buttons. My question is how does this FMC work with my various add-ons. For Example, I have the PMDG 747 and the Level D 767. If I'm flying one one aircraft or another will the FMC be setup for that aircraft? If I'm flying the 767 will the FMC show that I'm flying the 767 and if I were to enter a wrong zfw would it have the data for the max weights for each aircraft and tell me if I entered something wrong? I recently got some extra money and would love to upgrade my flight deck. Thanks

Hello I was curious as to whether the 747 has the ability for the f/o to control the flaps? I fly the level D 767 and I can have the f/o control the flaps so that after takeoff I can focus on the other aspects of the departure. Thanks.

Hello, I just recently started flying with the pmdg 747 and for the most part I have figured the basics so that I can make a flight and land. However on a recent flight I encountered a strange problem. So I decided to fly from Kbos to Klax I got my fuel and payload info from fsbuild and entered it into the pmdg menu. I programed the fmc like I usually do. I set the cruz alt to FL370 in the legs page it showed the correct altitudes next to the waypoints in the legs page and I set the altitude on the AP to the same. I tookoff from kbos and engaged Lnav and Vnav however the plane leveled off at FL270 and held that altitude. Any ideas what I did wrong. I know the 747 cant always reach higher altitudes in the begining of long haul flights do to weight of the fuel. Plus I have takenoff with much more fuel on longer flights and been able to reach higher altitudes. Thanks.
