i5-2500K vs. i7-4790K for P3D/CV1
Captain Z replied to Drizzle's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etcReading through the topic, a lot of good points are made. My 2 cents is that if you will upgrade, you should probably go with the latest chipset. Since you plan on mobo, cpu, and ram....and since the i7-6700k is now around the same price as the 4790k, I would go with the 6700k. Here are some results posted by someone who tested an i5-2500k @ 4.5ghz vs the i7-6700k @ 4.5ghz. Same clock speeds, only major difference being the chipset architecture, and the ram (which does make a difference). No P3D or other sim comparison, but still , some telling numbers. Hope this helps some. http://www.overclock.net/t/1578480/i5-2500k-4-5ghz-vs-6700k-4-5ghz-in-games Edit: I currently use a 2500k at 4.5 as well, and the main thing keeping me from the 6700k is waiting to see how quickly Kaby Lake cpus make an appearance, as they seem to be coming quickly.

Will the G-44A get GTN750 compatibility in an update ?
Hello, First, I am so happy to see a quality sea plane for P3D. It sort of lacks when it comes to watercraft. Very happy that Flysimware stepped up. If I were to pick 2 things that really stood out as lacking in the new G-44A, it would be GTN750 integration and a quality custom sound set. I know you guys created a module, and hopefully a good dev steps up to make the amazing sound set your plane deserves. So to the point, I'm wondering (hoping), will you guys be adding GTN750 integration in a future update ? It's been included in your other recent aircraft, and there appears to be room for it. I hope you do, as I think it will take a great plane up another notch. Thank you for your time. - Captain Z

Will PrecipitFX 1.3.0 still work in P3D 2.4 ?
Hello, Many people, including myself, are delaying the full reinstall required to upgrade to P3D 2.5 until all of the 3rd party software we use (such as scenery, etc.) is fully updated to work properly. We're also giving LM a chance to get 2.5 working as intended, allowing the "hotfix" period to wind down. The 1.3.0 release notes state that when I next launch the config program, it will automatically update to place files in the new changed P3D 2.5 folder system. Since I'm sticking with 2.4 at the moment, will it screw up the install, and cause it to no longer work ? Should I avoid launching the configurator, and hope for the best ? Thank you in advance for responding, and I really do hope Pfx continues to work in 2.4........removing the "Rain Warp" was my main concern, and I'd hate to see it return with the new update. Thanks for making my Flight Sim better, Captain Z

OpusFSX Live Camera vs EZDok
So, in my search for a "realistic" head shake/movement mod for P3D v2, I came upon this thread. I'd like to agree with others here who said a seperate Live Camera program for both FSX and P3D would do well. I would be entering my credit card info as I type if it were available. As it is now, looks like I'll be waiting to see what comes of EZDok. I would seriously consider the seperate Live Camera. It would probably "fly off the shelf" so to speak.
