Just flying a repaint of the default crj700. the baro is right. i am assuming it is an issure with the add on conflicting with the default. just trying to see if there is a way to go in an look and edit without editing software. also need guidance on how to find the default lga file since they dont seem to be named by airport ident in the folders.

Hello all: I have experienced a problem with a KLGA freeware upgrade I made where while landing on RWY22 the plane will hop up 2000ft right before the touchdown point. I have did a little research and it seems like it maybe a problem with a conflict between the new LGA and the default LGA files. I have crash detection turned off when this happens, and I am certain if I had it on it would detect a crash. Can anyone share some guidance on how to change the default LGA scenery? I don't have any software for changing the files, just wondering if there is a way to find the file, and a way to tinker with it using notepad or word? Thank you. Mike

Wow, okay I definitely feel like a moron. That was it. And there I was looking through config files and such. I guess sometimes with computers you think the problem has to be more complicated than it is. Never even noticed that button was there on the selection screen...after all these years lol Thanks Jay!

I looked and could not find anything exactly like this. I had an issue on my previous computer where the extra liveries of all the default planes, and some of the add on planes just disappeared one day. I was having frame rate issues and other problems with the computer so we bought a new one (with windows 8.1) Installed FSX today and have the same problem with the missing planes. I looked in the files and they all have thumbnails and the aircraft files look like I think they should. The frame rate problems are solved with the new hardware. Still waiting to reinstall my traffic software and scenery...hope no problems arise with them. First, any tips on how to get the extra liveries back? Also, how could the install have the same problems on a brand new computer when I installed straight from the DVD's and installed the 2 service packs from the FSX software?
