speech recognition problem
I have found the solution, I cannot take the credit.. I was reading other bug reports for any clues and came across one that suggested running P2ATC as admin.... Bingo worked straight away .. I was lost without this program I really enjoy the flight sim a whole lot more using P2ATC so glad its back up and running again the solution to my issue was to right click on the Pilot2ATC_200.exe and select run as administrator. Thanks for your help Dave Maggsy63

speech recognition problem
Alas no joy mic is default with the option greyed out. all levels are at around 50% including P2A Grammar Helper when its selected and Pilot 2 ATC v 2.0.0.18 MFD when Grammer Helper is not being used. I have tried a different mic (one fitted to a web cam borrowed from another PC and tested to show it works). Using Grammer helper in the txt box the only thing that appears is the words Full Txt: in green appears when PTT is released. I tried it with x-plane running and connected, the Radio test works.. I have also tried P2atc alone the results are the same. Stumped at the moment for ideas it is something simple I am not seeing .. Maggsy

speech recognition problem
I am at a loss atm with P2ATC 2.0.0.18 (and even tried v1.4.3.6) not able to recognise anything I say. I recently had to rebuild my pc with new SSD's and clean install of win 10 64bit. Since then I have tried eveything to get P2atc to work.. it installs with no problem it connects to X-Plane 10 it just does not recognise my input through the mic. I have both Eng uk and Eng US language packs installed the mic is the same one that worked previously (Razer Kraken 7.0) it is set as default both for playback (headphones) and Record (Mic) if the Listen option is applied it is picking up my voice cleanly with little or no other sounds. I have run the windows mic setup with it performing perfectly. I have tried both Eng UK and Eng US as the chosen language and ticked/unticked the recognise non-native accents for this language. Within P2atc V 1.4.3.6 the PTT works ( joystick button and even KB key assigned) Selecting TST creates popup window. Speech Recognizers Available Installed Speech Recognisers en-GB Desc: Microsoft Speech Recognizer 8.0 for windows (English-UK) en-US Desc: Microsoft Speech Recognizer 8.0 for windows (English-US) Click ok Popup window You are not connected to the simulator Click the ? key and the frm Grammar window pops up click practice popup window confirms: Recognition Engine Installed:en-US Grammars successfully loaded. Call sign is:speedbird Two Zero I have tried saying the various examples in the lefthand window but with no success using the PTT button and mouse after selecting practise and it changing to practising I have tried the default callsign Beech One Victor Bravo with the same lack of success. I have entered config and trouble shooting Installed Speech Recognizers en-GB Desc...etc en-US Desc...etc selected Testing Speech active speech recognizer: en-US but nothing happens when I press the PTT butting with the mouse. Using P2Atc 2.0.0.18 has the same reaction with the exception the use of the mouse to press the PTT button on the gui results in P2atc (not reposonding) I am certain it is a user config problem and I am failing to setup the hardware in some way but cannot figure out what I am doing wrong any help would be appreciated Maggsy

X-plane 10 with limited default plugins default 747-400 Flight plan being constructed in the following sequence EGLL to EGFF Dept apt EGLL. wpt WOD (vor) Dest apt Adding SID for EGLL (pilot2atc Recommended SID RW09L-CPT5J-CPT) I selected RW09L-CPT4K-CPT FP now reads EGLL RW09L 15LON LON11 WOD 352.00 WOODLEY CPT8 CPT 114.35 EGFF I now tried to add EGFF STAR Recommended STAR RW12-CDF1C-CPT it was at this point the errors started I have enclosed various screenshots One problem was the warning cannot calculate TOD and the Cruise alt defaulted to FL260 Plan GS 400 and the descent rate 2000 I was unable to edit these without the same warning. Eventually by clicking ok repeatedly I was able to continue to select EGFF Approach but thats when the program finally locked up and had to be closed. I have several screenshot of each step which I have attached to a covering email sent to [email protected] ( I do not have a flicker acc or have a picture hosting site to upload the screen shots too ) Maggsy

Sneak Peek Video of Version 2.0
After getting tired/frustrated with the default ATC in X-Plane 10, I took a look at the trial version of Pilot2atc..coming from a completely novice flight sim background the verbal interaction with a virtual ATC intrigued me. I came up with the following points of view regarding Pilot2atc.. and no I am not associated with the developer or receive any favour for the endorsement, nor can I substantiate my opinions with any knowledge or experience of real flight or high end flight sim protocols having said that I have listed my points as follows. 1. I use X-plane 10 but have had Microsoft flight sims since the very first version ( yup I am that old ) has Pilot2atc brought a whole new dimension to my flight sim enjoyment ?.. a wholehearted YES..for the price of a single pay-ware aircraft or scenery add-on ( which with the planes you can only use one at a time and with scenery you only see if you are in that location) Pilot2atc is part of the whole session from start to finish giving a heightened enjoyment factor. 2. Pilot2atc seems to be a perfect stepping stone to learn ATC procedures within the game environment and enables the gamer to perfect techniques in anticipation of using the vatsim or Pilotedge in live virtual ATC communications. I particularly like the Sayit function which speeds up the reply to ATC especially when its long and complex instructions (who can forget the X-plane atc perpetually telling you "your off course" and repeat it over and over again before you could reply. 3. Flight planning has become a real pleasure with lots of the tedium of cross-referencing various charts and tables taken up by the software, even the act of flight planning now allows one to understand and appreciate the procedures about to be undertaken, a new dimension to the flight sim session. 4. Pilot2atc is evolving all the time the developer is expanding/refining and improving the software all the time, so its functionality just gets better, the single most encouraging factor for me was the manner in which problems, bugs, faults and problems are handled by Dave. it does not take long to see the level of commitment to customer satisfaction invested by Dave, and the quick response to issues with practical advice and in many cases solutions OR promises to resolve the issues asap. I liked version 1.4 I am astounded at version 2.0 the all round improvement and intuitive gui is amazing and well worth the effort in testing the beta version. Thanks Dave my flight sims will not be the same again...mind you the wife now wonders who the hell is speedbird 747 or United a330.. maggsy
