has there been any news about the Jetstream 4100? I've been thinking about adding it to my hangar but I don't wanna get it till i can actually fly it

As Said before in reply to many people who have asked this question. No, because of how it was made in FSX it is technically impossible for their to be VC shadows yet, and due to this being a bug fix/compatibility update there was no visual or functional changes (except the weather radar) done to the aircraft. If it didn't work before, it still will not work now.

I know this is kind of off topic, but I am having all my pet peeve buttons being pressed by everyone calling Prepar3d Prepare 3D Even Lockheed themselves, the developers, say it is said "Prepared" in other words they were just being slick and changing it to Prepar3d instead of releasing it with the name 'prepared'

I'm a little disappointed, I expected it by monday at the latest yet monday is almost over and there hasn't even been word or update about a snare or problem, I know i know - it'll be done when its done, but i really had my hopes up that their estimated windows would be right this time. Though thats my own fault, I probably should stop refreshing the forum every few minutes in hopes that the update has been released - its driving me batty

If i was to ask, which version of the Dash 8 you got? i suffer from rather bad indecision and looking at the 3 i don't know which one fits a 'casual' sim pilot like myself.

Awesome! I wanted that aircraft but i was holding back because there wasn't a single reference or mention of steam edition compatibility

I'm still hopeful, though i am pretty sure i have my hopes up and gunna be heavily disappointed by the end of the day, its still only <Insert time here> I have to keep telling myself, and reminding that these guys don't run on the same kind of schedule that normal businesses do. As much as i think they deserve the break, I find myself kind of being selfish and hoping they didn't take the 'take the weekend off' people seriously, i mean - there really isn't any replacement for the NGX, I've looked at a few that already do work with Steam edition and well... really none can compare to it - so i just hope it really does come out either today or tomorrow

Never said anything about the module itself, just saying that it may not be playing nice with the NGX's coding due to the NGX's age.

Probably has something to do with "Not everyone is getting into Prepar3d and we still have a very large customer base in FSX and FSX:SE that we have no plans of abandoning them or the platform and just say they are SOL and need to buy another game and their favored aircraft again" I could be wrong, its just a hunch.

Never claimed to be a programer, though i don't see how with a little tweaking and working with it a very similar system wouldn't fix the NGX, which is why i think that the big hold up is the weather radar not playing nice.

Didn't have a problem with the T7 - been flying it but getting a bit sick of the trans-oceanic flights, i wanna do something alittle more local but because i try to be realistic using the T7 for that would be wasteful so i am waiting as patiently as i can be for the NGX to come out, which is my biggest question, the aircraft loads fine into Steam edition - why not just use the same system patched into the T7 for steam edition compatibility to make the NGX work with it, it seems that its just having a problem with the activation window not popping up when you go to load the game.

Steam edition incompatibilities my friend, I bought it a month ago while it was on sale and i haven't been able to fly it once because the activation window refuses to pop up. I think this is the age of the NGX coming back to haunt it, it was made earlier in PMDG's career and thus its coding may not be as simply or easy as it was for the T7 - While i do think there were some problems with steam edition compatibility, steam edition doesn't work /that/ differently than the boxed versions of FSX, so i would think those problems would of already been solved, the weather radar may be posing more of a problem due to new technology being interfaced with older tech - sometimes they just don't like to get along at first.

Personally, what i think is going wrong and causing the headaches is probably the weather radar integration - and why i have been saying "Fix what you have first, then improve it/release it for other platforms" because then all the people that whine and complain on the forums (myself included) would of been silenced, Simply because they would have something more then a 95 dollar digital paper weight (and i got it while on sale so ) And for those people who say "You should be grateful, they are providing updates for free to you" Well, to be honest - i would be a bit more appreciative if i had a working aircraft first - Cause at this point, i basically feel as though I bought the aircraft and the update on pre-order rather than receiving an update for free.

While they are adding the content in for free, that is true - and we didn't ask them to add in this, they choose to and be nice to their customers. But there are a large amount of customers thanks to streamers and such that now that its out on steam rushed to buy the aircraft and got nothing more then a 95 dollar digital paperweight, they cant fly it, they cant do anything with it other then look at it - and if you're playing a flight sim and cant fly - well then, i think you're not playing the right game. Personally if it had been my company, i would of chose to fix compatibility issues, then add the Weather radar and THEN focus on porting the aircraft to a new platform - fix what you have before you try to make and improve it

People have gone to court and won for over a matter concerning less then 95 dollars, so i am pretty sure the fact that i have 'invested' 95 dollars into PMDG, they are obligated to some things. and one is delivering a working product in a timely manner.

Yes, but when they say that it should be this week and then suddenly this week comes and goes with no word or update or anything, they're obligated once they announce they are updating anything - true, they don't have to give a update date - but they keep choosing to, its been nearly a month since i first heard "This week" and apparently this isn't the first time they have been doing this. Why Can't anyone think of this like Scotty from Star Trek:ToS does - if you have a date in mind, take it, multiply it by a random number so that you give yourself plenty of time to deal with anything that was unpredicted and when you release something before that time has come you seem like some sort of miracle worker.

Its funny how people can joke about PMDG delaying and setting release dates and not meeting them, as someone else said "take the day they say and add 2 weeks, thats what they did with the T7" and yet when i look into it and see this is kinda common for PMDG to do - while yes, i do appreciate the attention to detail and working to make sure its as bug free as possible - its a serious pet peeve when people or companies set deadlines they know they will never actually be able to keep and keep setting deadlines or "within the next week" statements, and then week upon week can come and go and sometimes not even an update on progress, not even a peep.

Well, the fact that GTA V has once again had its released delayed, i think the 737NGX actually has a chance, and i am really hoping that PMDG will honor their word and let the patch out this week, though from what i can tell - they don't have a reputation for upholding their word or keeping their deadlines.

Considering its been a month since i first heard a release date, I'm hoping the time is about up. I don't know how many more of these 'go arounds' i can take.

As... I don't know how many people say - Any landing you can walk away from is a good one! ( A few bugs and such wouldn't be terrible, as long as they aren't game breaking. - and judging by how the aircraft was before the patch, there was no game breaking bugs that i could see from videos and streams, everything seemed to work beautifully even though PMDG has said there was bugs and they have been fixed in this patch. )
