  1. I followed your directions and so far I have not received the error ..."application blocked graphics hardware". Thank you!
  2. Recently my FSX has been crashing after getting the error message...."application blocked graphics hardware" It does not happen all the time, but when it happens, it is usually when I am in at cruise altitude. Has anyone had this problem? If so, is there a fix? Thanks for any help. My specs: FSX boxed with Acceleration Windows 8.1 (but run FSX in Windows 7 Compatibility mode) MSI GTX 970 16G RAM I7-4790K@4ghz
  3. Ah oh, another problem.....now getting a SDK error even when starting in the 2D panel. I can cycle through the checklists if I configure it for button control, but the checklists do not work when voice control is selected. I am guessing this is because of the SDK error. Is there anything I can do to fix this?
  4. PROBLEM SOLVED! I found my virus program quarantined a .gau file. I let it install and now it works. Thanks
  5. I am able to open the FS2Crew Main panel by going to the VIEWS -> INSTRUMENTS menu, but the panels are black with no data. I also confirmed that their is an FS2Crew entry in the .cfg file. Not sure if all the necessary entries are there though. I am running FSX with Acceleration edition.
  6. When I load my PMDG 737 into a free flight it always goes into 3d cockpit view instead of the 2D which it states it needs to boot up in. I have the setting to load it up in the 2D cockpit but it still won't do it. Even with my keys I assigned it still won't open FS2Crew and I have run out of ideas to fix this issue.
  7. It happens at both default and addon airports.
  8. If this helps, my problem with the scenery disappearing happens only when flying the PMDG and Aerosoft aircraft. It has not happened when flying FSX default aircraft. I think these aircraft use a lot of memory and towards the end of the flight objects start disappearing because of a lack of memory. This is only a guess though. If it is a memory issue, could it be solved with a better graphics card? My current card is an NVIDIA GeForce 750Ti with 2GB. My other system specs are: i7 @4.0 ghz and 16 GB of RAM. I hope this was helpful in trying to solve this problem.
  9. I encounter the same problem and I would also like to know how to fix it.
  10. I am thinking of upgrading from Windows 8.1 to 10. Before I do, I wanted to know if anyone was running 10 with FSX and if there are any problems. I am running FSX with Acceleration (not steam edition). Please post your experience with Windows 10 and FSX, thanks.
  11. I have turned down my FSX graphics settings but it still happens. If anyone knows of a fix, please post it.
  12. I wondering if anyone else has this problem and what I can do to fix it. When flying into airports, sometimes, the buildings in the airport disappear. Only the buildings are gone, the jetways, and runways do not disappear. It happens at both payware add on airports as well Freeware add on airport scenery. It also does not happen all the time. In example, one day I will fly into kjfk and everything is fine, then the next day I fly into kjfk and the buildings are gone. It never happens at the origination airport. Does anyone else have this problem? How can i fix it so it does not happen again? System Specs: FSX with Acceleration i7 4790K@4.2 Ghz 16 G of DDDR3 RAM Nvidia GeForce 750 TI 4G
  13. Problem solved! Thank you all for your feedback on this. Ultimately, the problem was the Intel fan that came with the CPU. I reinstalled the old fan that came with the Desktop that was previously cooling an i5. The idle cooling temp went down to 30C and now its running at about 65C when fully stressed with FSX. No more Ghz drop. That Intel fan is a piece of junk. Thanks again. The info and suggestions everyone provided was very helpful.
  14. I checked the CPU core temp and it is at 99 degrees Celsius when running FSX. Is that too hot? When using other programs and browsing the internet the temp is around 55 degrees celsius I can hear the cpu fan speed up when using FSX and other games. When I installed the i7 I ensured the fan was secured well in the pins and used thermal paste. I also opened the case again and double checked that the fan is secured properly and running with no dust. I used the Intel fan that comes with the CPU. Is the Intel fan the CPU came with not good enough for cooling?
  15. Thank you both for responding so quickly. Yes, I disabled the speed step in the bios. I have also tweaked the windows power settings for the processor to set for maximum performance. Yet, I still have the same problem. I get over 4 ghz consistently with all applications except FSX and other games. I am getting horrible FPS in FSX with add on payware scenery airports and PMDG aircraft. I notice the FPS drops as soon as the ghz starts dropping. Please let me know if you have any other ideas I can try. If it helps, here are my other specs: Nvidia GeForce 750TI wtih 4G Direct X version 11 16GB DDR3 RAM Thanks
  16. I have an i7 4790K CPU that runs at 4 Ghz, However, when I run FSX, the speed drops all the way down to between 1.6 and 2.6 Ghz. It runs at 4Ghz or more for all my other applications. I can't figure out why I do not get 4 ghz using FSX. Does anyone else have this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
