I suggest trying a powered USB hub.I had a similar problem with a plug and play panel. I chased all over my computer looking for the error.Turned out to be a low power problem from my USB hub.To many connection not enough juice.

A day late and a dollar short;]It works just fine on my build of XP SP3 32bit.Need more of these types of stand alone utilities for the folks who have no use for the mainstream sims and opt for the freeware sims that do not have the option of pluging in.Sad day when independant developers stoped making stand alone freeware.

Just wondering if you have been looking for UK chatter if you may have come across any chatter files for the Bahamas or the general Carribian area.But the Bahamas would be of great interest..wav file particularly.Actually my particular sim of choice does not have all the bells and whistles the mainstream sims have developed.So stand alone program application are required.Hence the .wav files as apposed to adventure or mission files.Useing Enviro 3.2 for chatter.Thanks for the time and hope I can get some feedback on the .wav files.
