  1. Thanks for your reply. My sim PC is running 9 displays; -three UHD TVs running at FHD each for a viewgroup covering nearly 180 degrees FOV. These are connected via DP to the 4090 GPU -one FHD monitor for ECAM. Connected via HDMI. -two 1600x900 displaylink monitors for EFIS. Connected via USB3. -two small 1024x600 LCD displays for MCDU screens. Connected via displaylink HDMI to USB3 adapters. -one FHD Samsung tablet for FSiPanel. Connected via WIFI using the Spacedesk app. My Previous PC (CPU Intel i7 6700K 4-Core (8 threads) 4.0Ghz and GPU Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X) was able to run all the above. The framerate was quite low, but I did not suffer the 1 to 2 second pauses. However it was still on P3Dv5.3 and W10. My new PC (CPU: i9 13900k, GPU:NVIDIA RTX 4090 24GB) has the following CPU watercooling: Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 with fans above and below the radiator. In total 13 cooling fans. The GPU is vertically mounted. The PC is running P3Dv5.4 and W11. I think this hardware should be sufficient to have better performance and no pauses.
  2. I might have a similar problem, because my CPU is continuously running hot while my 4090 GPU hardly seems to do anything. How do I set it to use the discrete GPU? Thanks
  3. [JobScheduler] AffinityMask=268435413 P3DCoreAffinityMask=268435413 MainThreadScheduler=0 RenderThreadScheduler=1 FrameWorkerThreadScheduler=2 These settings I still need to try when I get back to my PC. It doesn't seem healthy to see core temperatures continuously going up to 100°c. I really appreciate all the good info in this post, because it is not exactly my expertise. I would be happy with a consistent framerate of 30 and photoreal scenery loading without the 1 to 2 second pauses. I would imagine that with my new hardware that should be achievable...especially since I'm not using autogen except for the airports.
  4. So if that happens, there would be no overall performance benefit? I would think it would be nice if some of the heavy load on the CPU would be taken over by the GPU.
  5. Thanks, I don't think this is where my problem is originating from, but I will give it try. I did not suffer these pauses on my previous PC... (Intel i7 6700K 4-Core (8 threads) 4.0Ghz (turbo: 4.2Ghz) Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X 1TB HDD 8GB DDR4) I upgraded because the overall framerate was low and not very stable. Maybe I should try reverting back to P3Dv5.3. I was alway under the impression that using photoreal without autogen was better for performance than using no photoreal with autogen. But with my current setup the opposite seems to be true. What surprises me as well, is that I have tried the Jobscheduler settings for a 12900 and my GPU seemed to be much more involved when I checked Task Manager Performance. Any idea how that is possible? Maybe it was a combination with different settings in NCP. Vincent
  6. Hi all, I've recently upgraded my DIY A320 homecockpit with a new PC. However I'm really struggling to get a smooth framerate without frequent pauses. The pauses last for a second or two and seem to be related to photoreal scenery loading. The suggested Jobscheduler settings in this post for the 13900 seem to improve things, but they still leave me with pauses. In task manager, I observe the following: all CPU cores seem to be working at 85% or higher (the core temps fluctuate between 85°c and 100°c). Meanwhile, the 4090 rarely goes above 15%. I am also a bit confused about how and where to set the display options for eg framerate and Vsync: Windows display options, NCP and/or P3D settings? If for example, I set FR limiter to 30 in NCP and turn on ViewGroups in P3D, the FR drops to 10. And finally, how can I minimise the occurrence of horizon deviation across my 3 TV displays during maneuvring? Although, during (gentle) airline manoeuvres this deviation is not very pronounced. 8. Hi guys, As currently there is no commercial P3D scenery available for Brindisi LIBR I have installed the freeware scenery from the AVSIM library; 2012 by Stefano Tessore. I have also installed the update and pasted the LIBR_elev_correction.bgl into P3Dv5 scenery/world/scenery. Unfortunately I get both airport signs on the ground and floating in the air. I have searched my P3D installation folder for any other LIBR afcad file but it doesn't give any results. I was hoping someone could give me any advice how to get rid of the floating signs or, if required, all of the signs. I found an email address in the ReadMe file in the installation folder but it appears that it is no longer in use. I am not using ORBX vectors, I am using FreeMesh with freeware photoreal scenery for Italy. Many thanks, Vincent
  9. Unfortunately it did not solve the strange radiation coming from the top of the light posts.
  10. I have installed LFPG v2 T2G with the updates from their site. The light radiation from the lightposts looks really weird to me. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nmjGJk67gflcwgv2ayd7rfx04tAAY8J6/view?usp=sharing Is there something wrong with my settings or installation? I don't have similar issues on any other scenery.
  11. I can confirm that JSD can email you a “cvx_excl_taxisigns_LICJ.BGL” “ to paste into Prepar3D v5\JetStream Designs\JetStream Designs Palermo LICJ\Scenery. That resolved the issue for me. They were very quick to respond, well done!
  12. I had a look but in my cfg this was already set to 1. Thanks anyway.
  13. Any information is much appreciated.
  14. I don't have a previous version of this scenery, only for P3Dv5. But I do have LGIR from JustSIm as well. I have "solved" the red cross issue by creating this JustSim_LGRP_Windsock.XML from the LGIR Windsock.XML. This puts a windsock at each end of the runway where they are placed according my (up to date) LIDO chart: <SODE> <SimObject Name="JustSim_Windsock_LGRP"> <Placement Lat="36.408666 " Lon="28.102500" Alt="5.791000" Hdg="70.03"/> <Model SimTitle="12bPilot_SODE_Environmental_Data_Probe"> <EnvironmentalDataProbe ClientList="JustSim_WindSock"/> </Model> </SimObject> <SimObject Name="JustSim_WindSock"> <Placement Lat="36.408666 " Lon="28.102500" Alt="0#AGL" Hdg="0.0"/> <Placement Lat="36.401833 " Lon="28.070833" Alt="0#AGL" Hdg="0.0"/> <Model SimTitle="JustSim_Windsock_Static"> <VariableDrivenRotation Variable="WindDirection" Axis="HEADING" Animated="No"/> <ConditionalVisibility Variable="WindSpeed" Value="0-2"/> </Model> <Model SimTitle="JustSim_Windsock_Slow"> <VariableDrivenRotation Variable="WindDirection" Axis="HEADING" Animated="No"/> <ConditionalVisibility Variable="WindSpeed" Value="3-5"/> </Model> <Model SimTitle="JustSim_Windsock_SMedium"> <VariableDrivenRotation Variable="WindDirection" Axis="HEADING" Animated="No"/> <ConditionalVisibility Variable="WindSpeed" Value="6-13"/> </Model> <Model SimTitle="JustSim_Windsock_Medium"> <VariableDrivenRotation Variable="WindDirection" Axis="HEADING" Animated="No"/> <ConditionalVisibility Variable="WindSpeed" Value="14-20"/> </Model> <Model SimTitle="JustSim_Windsock_Fast"> <VariableDrivenRotation Variable="WindDirection" Axis="HEADING" Animated="No"/> <ConditionalVisibility Variable="WindSpeed" Value="21-99"/> </Model> </SimObject> </SODE> I have copied the model grass .mdl files from LGIR to LGRP and renamed them, but that still doesn't give me 3D grass.
  15. Hi I'm new to UGCX, when I try to download the logo pack I receive the following... "The following error occurred: The requested URL was not found on this server. Please check the URL or contact the webmaster." Have the logo's been deleted again? Thanks, Vincent
  16. Thanks to a very smart person, my problem has been resolved. Once he told me about it, I found the following.. "just looked at your INI file that shows that the Dialog window is positioned far of the screen, 5271 pixel to the left of the primary screen OptionsDialogOffset=-5271, -10 Just open the FSUIPC6.ini file with a text editor and change that line i.e. to OptionsDialogOffset=100, 100 You will find that line within the [General] section in the last lines of that section" All good now😅
  17. I have installed FSUIPC 6.0.12 however I still only get the black screen and have to close P3D down get get rid of it. I even unplugged all my screens, but the same happens with only 1 screen connected. My FSUIPC console log window is showing by the way, but not the FSUIPC UI window.
  18. Hi all, I have a multimonitor setup, and today when I selected FSUIPC from the Add on menu as normal the P3D screens went black but the FSUIPC UI window was nowhere to be found. Basically this CTDs my P3D because the only thing left is shutting down P3D using task manager. What I tried to sove this: -Reboot P3D and desktop -Change configuration of multiple screens -unplugging a screen -SHIFT rightclick in the taskbar But I just can't get the FSUIPC window back on my screens. As long as I don't select FSUIPC everything is fine. Is there eg a config change that could resolve this?
  19. Hi all, Maybe this has already been covered in another post, but I couldn't find it. I have completed my DIY MCDU and I would like to clip the undocked captain MCDU panel (shift 7 or 6) in order to drag only the actual display to my MCDU display. I have seen posts about making changes in the panel.cfg to resize and set the position of undocked panels. This works but I still have the MCDU frame and buttons showing up on my other screens. Anybody knows how to change an undocked panel. It would be very nice to be able to do this as well for the ISIS and DCDU. Thanks for any info!
  20. April 2020 and XP11 is now using Vulkan...so I guess P3D is not there yet.
  21. Hi, just wondering as this topic is from 2017, is there still no triple monitor viewgroup support by CP in P3D? Thanks
  22. This works. For better framerates it is possible as well creating a view just in front of the external model. But then you no longer hear the cockpit sounds. If only this was a native feature.
