After spending 2 days trying to figure out why several aircraft were going into an uncommanded bank (without turning), while on autopilot, I finally found that the cause was the choice of Legacy flight model. I switched it to Modern and the planes now fly like they should, even the very twitchy Cessna jets are stable, and level. I was ready to dump the sim before making this discovery. Microsoft -- take notice and warn the unsuspecting!

It's not just the Cessna Jets. I flew the A320 Neo today, and it also falls into the left bank. It straightened out with cycling the AP off and on, but the slip/skid indicator immediately begins to slide to out of coordinated flight, and the bank to the left returns. I disconnected the yoke from the system and flew the A320 with the keyboard and Bravo Throttle. Same story

I tried changing the null zones to 10, then 15. I completely disabled the rudder bindings, and disabled any keyboard bindings relating to rudder, aileron, trim, etc. It made no different. The Citation Jets I'm working with continue to bank left about 10-15 degrees. The plane does not turn left, but the slip/skid ball is completely left of the triangle pointer above, suggesting the need for left rudder or less right aileron. I don't have this issue with P3d or X-plane, nor with most of the slower planes in MSFS 2020 (Skyhawks, Cirrus, etc. ) It does happen with the Baron B58 and all the airliners. Stumped!

FF, Yes. toggling the AP off and on again does level the plane for a minute or so. As you watch, the slip/skid ball slowly moves out of center, and then the plane banks without actually turning. Bert, My yoke seemed well calibrated, but I did it again. I also added some null zone. Do you use an Alpha yoke? If so, what kind of sensitivity settings work well for you? Thanks to you both.

I have a continuing problem with faster aircraft, particularly the jets going in an un-commanded bank several minutes after the AP is engaged, either in HDG or NAV mode. The plane will follow the HDG bug (with an un-coordinated indication from the slip/skid indicator) but it stays in a bank. When I disengage the AP, the plane levels out and will stay level, but after I re-engage the AP, within a minute or so, the banking re-occurs. I have tried to adjust rudder or aileron trim but this just makes matters worse. This problem existed on prior CH Yoke and Rudder Pedals as well as on the current Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo and CH Rudder pedals. Can someone suggest what is causing this annoying problem? I have searched far and wide, and haven't found a fix. Thank you.

Unable to reinstall 737 after removal
flyingjohn50 replied to flyingjohn50's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
Yes, I paid the 60.00 for it too! Just deleted and re-installed the "Client" folder in P3d v3, along with the main config file following the suggestions of Pete on this youtube: and got the PMDG to install. All is good! Thanks for your response(S). -
After flying with P3d v3.4.22 19868 Setup for awhile, I just purchased v4 and installed it. I was advised somewhere that my PMDG 737 would only install in P3dv4 if I first removed it from V3, with the assurance that I could add it back to V3 anytime later. I did the uninstall and installed it into V4 with no issue. Now I want to have the 737 installed back into P3d V3, but the installer blocks me with this message: "An outdated version of Prepar3d v3 has been detected. Before you can install this PMDG product you will need to update Prepar3d." Well, I did a full new download of P3dv3, which is most certainly current, but PMDG still blurts out the same message. Any suggestions? As I said, the PMDG was working great in v3 until I removed it. Thanks. John

Great build, Martin! I think I concur on the MOBO and Ram, but don't know if I will pay for the 980 Ti version. For my use with FSX, it might be overkill. I was also hoping to be able to have an easy upgrade by saving my Samsung SSD which contains my OS and all the FSX stuff. Looking further into it, I see there may be issues, and a re-install of the OS, drivers, etc., will all be required. If anyone has a cookbook recipe for doing such an upgrade without going nuts, I would love to see it. Thanks to all~ J
