  1. Try re-installing the A320, got it to work through that. It should save your MCDU settings, so you should be up & running quick
  2. Thanks for your quick reply! A reinstall of the A320 solved it.
  3. Hi Brian, I'm not able to get my FS2Crew to run, the button I assigned to open the FS2Crew window doesn't work in the bus. With the 747 it works just fine. I've uninstalled the v4 version, then installed the v5 version. After my encounter as above I installed both v5 and v4 versions again over top of the existing v5 install. Any suggestions to get P3D to recognize the add-on?
  4. Hi, as per title, I discovered the 747-8 burns fuel when the sim is paused. I didn't pause it the "regular" way with the "P" button (to spare my CPU of reloading the same frame for hours) but through going into the graphics settings in P3Dv4. I had a pretty hectic schedule today (and will probably keep that the next couple of years to come) so it'd be great if the -8 would behave like the 737 and the 777 when going into the P3D menu/pausing the sim. If you have workarounds please let me know them! I didn't find time yet to read through the manual, so if this is explained I'm sorry to waste your time PMDG!
  5. lol... my favorite malware provider has announced they were completely rewriting theirs and use a lot of new techniques they discovered during development of their FBW aircraft line and vice versa.
  6. sorry to jump in on my posts again: no, only partially. Guess what plane has ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY a BTV system and NO other autobrake system (aside redundancies)? I saw something on facebook, they seemed to have had the outside model completed and their nosewheel spacing was horrible, so i'm guessing the Aerosoft approach to that airplane in that company. But indeed I meant the Mettar Sim A380. If you've read their last update, you know that they aim to making it study level. That one is promising to me, I just hope they can maintain their company from a financial standpoint. This is the dream eh? 😄
  7. Timm there are currently two companies building A380's, one of them looks very promising. Also my favorite malware provider seems to play with thoughts about developing an exclusively BTV equipped plane...
  8. In the post RSR stated that was five years ago and the efforts of the group that PMDG was/is part of wasn't able to "compete" with what Dovetail could offer, so I'm not really with the idea of a PMDG simulation platform. Shared cockpit as explained above seems like the most plausible to me of what I've read in this thread although I would really wish for a fully working 787...
  9. theoretically this shouldn't be a problem... EDDF in stock FSX/P3D has only two runways. Aerosoft added the third one and put all respective ILS frequencies in, I have not encountered any problems ever when approaching the "new" runway there. Maybe it's a FlightBeam thing? At their KSFO (I think 28R) the ILS frequency is different to the real one, so you can't rely on the FMS (Navdata) or Charts, because those use real world frequencies... Maybe, if you download ADE, you can change the frequency, if the runway already is in there. And/or check if you need to configure the scenery through the config tool. FlyTampa use the method of interchanging 4 different AFCADs on their EHAM scenery, so maybe the runway you're approaching isn't in the AFCAD because the developer wants to avoid AI traffic collisions.
  10. I think that QW would still sell their 787 even if PMDG made one. Just like FSL and Aerosoft don't fight for each others customers. Just look at the Aerosoft Forums - their A320 "professional" is highly anticipated, even though the more accurate simulation of the airplane is already available. BUT I don't think they will announce another airplane, given that they worked on it for the last 10 years behind closed doors. I think what ever they made won't exclusively benefit their products.
  11. I had this once because FS2Crew cut the ground power before the APU generator was available... make sure to start the APU at least 5min before the FS2Crew departure and activate at least one APU generator, handling between APU generators and engine generators should work fine if you follow the SOP specific manual.
  12. I've used FSUIPC 5.1.21 (non registered) and had the same issue with GSX/ASP4. After deleting all FSUIPC files in my v4 installation folder this didn't reoccur. Umberto from FSDT states that he doesn't use FSUIPC and without it everything works fine - as I can affirm.
  13. Well, same here - if it helps I access from Germany, no VPN on the experimental build.
  14. Hi, I'm having the same issue as explained above on the non-experimental build. Same goes for starting VFX Central, both programs show the message Timeout. I'm accessing from Germany and I am not actively using an ISP/VPN. The website takes some time to load but I am able to access it. Restarted my router and PC multiple times, does not make a difference
