  1. Hi Bert, it is nice of you!

I was very please to talk to you the other day, and again, let me THANK YOU again very much for all the help and support you have offered to the community of Reality XP customers all these years.

  2. Reality XP offered its first avionics simulation product in March 2002, garnering a track record of offering among the most authentic and valuable Flight Simulator add-on products one can acquire, and supporting and listening to its customers. Some of you even have had the chance to fly the first RXP GNS back in 2002, and upgrade free through versions from v1 to v6 since then.

It shows in our products that RXP have always considered your feedback and criticism, both negative and positive over all these years, and that we have continuously improved our products the best we could, sometimes adding small features for only a few of you, and also by adding greater features for all of you.

Having said this, RXP is also well aware our reputation has not been as glorious as it was for the last couple years. No matter what the circumstances, some being business related, others just bad luck, and unfortunately the rest personal related, no matter that the quality of our products showed sustained and trouble-free value for years for the many of you, we are to be held accountable for the lack of support some of you have experienced.

Our oldest community friends and customers could certainly figure out this was an unusual and unaccountable situation, and I can’t stress enough how much it was. Most who know me personally or in the community must know this is a peculiar and unexpected situation, to consider we have purposely abandoned customers without a word just doesn’t add up. Sometimes the odds are against your every move no matter what, no matter how hard you fight, and I don’t think all our customers have been fairly and timely treated either and I sincerely apologize for their situation.

We were established in the add-on market for sharing our love and passion for Flight Simulator. These passions are what motivated our undertaking and they are as strong today as they were back then.

    3. Do not post “offensive” posts, links or images

Please refrain from posting the same question in several forums. There is normally one forum which is most suitable in that to post your question.

    5. Do not PM users asking for help

Do not send private messages to any users asking for help. If you need help, make a new thread in the appropriate forum, then the whole community can help and benefit.

    6. Remain respectful of other members at all times

All posts should be professional and courteous. You have every right to disagree with your fellow community members and explain your perspective.

However, you are not free to attack, degrade, insult, or otherwise belittle them or the quality of this community. It does not matter what title or power you hold in this forum. You are expected to obey this rule.

Please report the thread/post to the moderators or admin.

    9. Where can I find out who is in charge?

The Forum Moderators are displayed in every Forum.

  5. GENERAL POSTING GUIDELINES

We figured this was necessary because a lot of people come in and post threads without realizing that there is no possible way they could get help because of the way they posted the question. Here are some general guidelines.

    1. Please use SEARCH first!

There is a pretty good chance that unless you have some really odd or unique problem that it has been addressed on our forum before. Please use the forum’s search feature first to see if there are already some good threads on the subject. Search is fast and easy.

    2. Be DESCRIPTIVE and don’t use stupid topic names

Post a descriptive topic name! Give a short summary of your problem IN THE SUBJECT. (Don’t use attention getting subjects. They don’t get attention and only annoy people).

Here’s a list of topic subjects that YOU SHOULD NOT POST :

"Help me, Hello, Very urgent, I have a question"

Generally ANYTHING similar to these is unacceptable. Just post your problem.

Here is a good example of a way to post a question

“How do I connect my GPS and my Weather Radar”

Remember when people help you, they are doing YOU a favour

Be patient, help people out by posting good descriptions of what you need help with, and not snapping at people with statements such as

“If you aren’t going to help don’t waste my time replying”.

When you get help, it is much appreciated if you acknowledge this in a positive way. It creates good vibes and also tells other visitors that this issue actually was resolved. Here is a good example:

“Issue solved! Thanks John_D for providing such thorough instructions. And thanks all of you for spending time trying to help me!”
