  1. Awesome, once I figure out to download rest of the FS software, I'll check that out, thanks.
  2. wow, thanks for this reference list, I appreciate it much, I'll check later to see if I still have to download more, & then try to figure out how, ya would think there would be a big icon called "download more cool stuff for your sim right here' in big bold letters, but apparently not lol. I think so far its easier to fly a real airplane then to tweak things here on FS, but I'm learning.
  3. Ok, thanks much, I'm def going to look into this tonight. I'm surprised they dont have add-on's in Steam for FS, considering the 270 they have for the older version lol, but ok, thanks either way.
  4. I'll try that, but what happens is that say you're on base leg, during the turn to final I'll want to view to around the 10:00 position (for left traffic), & then once lined up with final, you need slight adjustment back to straight ahead view, but I feel the views are in "blocks", specific directions, & not free moving, idk, but I will try your advice tonight & see how it goes, thanks much.
  5. Hmm, ok, I will check that out, I know I clicked download when I paid the $119 for the deluxe, but yea, I see the 152, & maybe the Diamonds, but the only other Cessna is the 182 Skylane I think....ok, so I'll look into what you said, thanks much.
  6. Yea float-planes are awesome, I luv all things bush flying related, I'm new to FS2020, but I had a Maule float on XP, & I remember on the old FSX there was a Dehaviland Beaver which was excellent also. If I'm not mistaken I think there is a C172 float in the marketplace section of FS2020, but it's a older model aircraft.
  7. Hi all, please help, I just switched from years of XP to FS2020 2 days ago. I purchased the deluxe Seam version of the sim. First thing-I do not see any standard C172' s in the default aircraft inventory, not ones without the G1000, I want the older one, the C172SP, which is like the most popular training aircraft, so dont understand why they dont have it by default. 2nd thing-there is ZERO add-on's available in the Steam store for FS2020, unless I'm missing something?? There is however about 270 add-on's for the older FSX-Steam sim, but when you click on "store" for FS2020, there is absolutely nothing. I only see add-on's available in the marketplace section when inside the FS2020 program itself, & even in there, there is no C172SP non G1000. So this all is very crazy & strange to me, anyone have any insight into this? Thanks much.
  8. I programmed it, at least for left/right view, BUT, its a one motion direct view, basically the same as using another switch on the yoke, so the button I programmed, (the L/H circle button), it will swing the view left or right, but it's not full free movement, it will only look direct one way, not all around, so to me, that's not much different view wise than switches, but it is more convenient, because it's just easier to use than a button. However, in my experience, and I'm brand new here to FS2020 so you know, there still a annoying situation, let me give example. I was on final in the sims traffic pattern training course & needed small adjustments of pov, I'm so used to using my left thumb for these corrections, but I cant, I can only use the mouse w/right click, but on final i'm working the throttle & the flaps, so to have to take my right hand to adjust views which should be able to adjusted with the L/H circle button is a bit crazy to me. Thanks to everyone's advice in here either way though.
  9. Yea i’m not sure about the chaseplane thing, someone else had mentioned it originally, but the panning thing, in XP I was able to use the left round button on the yoke to look any direction, now can’t do that, at best can only look in a “direction” w/that button, but like you mentioned, yes I can use the mouse, with the mouse it’s fast & smooth, but it’s annoying because I usually have my right hand on the throttle quadrant on take and landing, same as real life, so then I have to take it off to work the mouse for change of view. Anyway, thanks to all for advice here hopefully FS gives an option to change this in the future.
  10. Yea, later tonight i’m going to try that method that the other guy mentioned here, activating the hi-hat button, but i’m curious if it will actually look “all” around, or only in the left/right forward/back directions. We see.
  11. I just read the details in the your link, sounds like it will work, running out to buy 49” curved monitor (switching from 3, 27” monitors), and then will try it. Thanks very much I def appreciate it.
  12. Exactly my issue, I didn’t mention the shaky part but yes that too. I’m sure such a small issue is fixable hopefully the folks here can help out.
  13. Hey guys please help me, I just switched from years of XP to FS2020 Steam yesterday. On the Saitek yoke there is a round button on left side I always used for 360 deg viewing in & out of the cockpit. It’s very important (to me), that as i’m flying & changing angles/positions & so forth, to be able to be constantly changing my pov, but I can’t seem to find a mapped setup page of the yoke to assign that button for I guess what would be called free camera? Please help me if possible, thanks much.
  14. Hi guys, I can use some help please: So, I just purchased FSFlying School 2021 to add some challenge to my flying, mainly because there are no missions for XP, anyway, I finally got the program running & although it seems to have a lot of potential, things dont seem right. First, the voice over is from a woman, but & states in manual that the instructor is a "Mr. Smith" & you need him to utilize most of the resources of the program. Next, the woman instructors statements do not coincide with the real time of the flight. I tried to look into this & it says you need to have a flight plan activated, from a saved flight plan. (I think). Personally, I think FS Flying should just have its own section where you can input your flight plan, kinda like Foreflight, but it asks to load a "saved flight plan" to further the use of the program. So, my main question here is HOW does one make & save a flight plan on XP?, because I can only see a way to save a flight, but not a flight plan, so in the FS Flying menu in the section "load flight plan", when I click it ,it says does not exist or something. I dont know why they make this stuff so complicated, although I know its prob me not knowing what I'm doing. Thanks much.
  15. That sounds like good solid advice. I’m in-between. I’m a real world recreational pilot but there isn’t much more XP can offer me as far as teaching goes, so I think i’m going to move over to MSF. Thanks for the advice it’s been helping me decide.
  16. Thanks Chock, i’ll look into that, but I think my computer has a SSD, actually I know it does, a decent one I believe, but are you referring to like an additional one for extra storage space or something?
  17. Thanks Ed, yes I rather focus on one as it’s hard enough finding time for just one, I’m going to research this more before I do anything sudden.
  18. Thanks, that’s what I’m hearing. X-Plane apparently still come out on top on realism of the physics of the aircraft in flight & even the functionality of the cockpit controls, so I’ll have to think about this and prob wait to see what else comes out for XP. I’d pay anything for at least one adventurous mission in XP, hopefully soon one comes. Thanks again.
  19. Thanks for the tip, ill prob try that. Just so much going on in the sim world it gets overwhelming.
  20. You have both? Doesn’t bog down your computer? Maybe you use MSFS on Steam as to not have it on your PC? Hmmm maybe i’ll look into that, thanks much.
  21. Hi all, please help. I had MSFS awhile back but switched to x-plane about 3 years ago. Now w/MSFS out, there is just a ton more of add-on’s I’m seeing everywhere I look, so that’s one big thing. Second big thing is x-plane has NO actual add-on missions like MSFS had, with voice over, like actual missions. Im a real world 172 recreational pilot & have exhausted all the training aspects that x-plane offers & am now bored with just flying aimlessly. I really miss the exciting missions from MSFS. If the realism of the flight characteristics are close or the same as of x-plane, then why should I stay with x-plane? Any input I’d appreciate, thanks.
