  1. Thank you also, I will check this all out later tonight and hopefully get it to work in sync with FSX.
  2. That's awesome, I will check it out, I was thinking about this again last nite because the chart would obviously also give land elevation, something else that one would want to know. Thanks much.
  3. wow, looks like great idea, i'll check it out, thanks much, will def help to add to the experience.
  4. Hi, I have a comment. So, what I would really luv to be able to do, is you know when you pull up "world map" and it shows you your position & some of the other details? Well, the one thing they should have is to make it so you can hold a navigational plotter up to the screen to figure out VOR radials and bearings to destinations, to me that would make it much more realistic.
  5. Just read this now, thanks much! Awesome info. I just did another donation also, this site is excellent. I'll check out what you recommended.
  6. Hi, I have a new good computer, 3 monitors, and have been having a good experience so far but wanted to let others know of a very good improvement I found, which actually may be outdated or well known, idk, because I'm kind of new to flight sim. I changed my config setting from "WideViewAspect=False" to "WideViewAspect=True". Objects that I couldn't see before appeared, the resolution increased significantly, and the field of view ability increased a lot also. I'm very happy with the change, its a whole new experience. Of course I don't know if this is because I'm running 3 monitor's or not, but I wanted to share this info regardless.
  7. So, was just curious, I luv missions, especially bush flying, did all the defaults, there's barely any in official FSX-SE store, so was wondering, on the various different sim stores that sell missions, is there a preferred company that's best? I know for aircraft there's A2A I think it is, I have a 172 from them and its amazing, but what about missions, anyone in particular? Thanks.
  8. I don't do chopper flights but I know in some of the airplane flights there are programmed engine failures that happen and you have to figure out what to do in that case to save yourself, you sure its nothing like that going on?
  9. I remember that one I think, in the Idaho forest or something?, it can take 45 min to 3 hrs? Yea, what I do anyway is after I find something and I'm very close, I turn on the mission pointer only then, just cause the mission may have a certain point where you need to pull up to. I'll tell you what, I luv missions, especially bush flying ones, did them all, now searching elsewhere for more mission add-ons because the official FSX store has almost none.
  10. sure thing, just sent one actually in the one spot I saw the option for. Will donate again later this week i'll have another question, talk to you then, thanks.
  11. I just somehow added scenery manually for first time, and only because it was necessary to run the new add-on mission. It literally took me 3 days of messing with the area on FSX settings where its to be done, and it was pure luck that I did it, not even sure which entry file it took. There seems to be some good advice by some folks here regarding .cfg editors, although I'm hesitant to try them because I don't know enough about computer yet. Hope you got everything working on your end, best of luck.
  12. Jim thanks much for the advice, I appreciate it. I actually am now using the software, just had to start with mission 2 instead of 1, that's all. The notification of the not exact aircraft has stopped, I'm using a C206 Stationair, its weird how the notification just ended though. Anyway, things do get tricky with the computer jargon. I will make a donation, if there is a preferred section to do so, just let me know. Thanks again.
  13. Hi, can someone please help. Ive done all the official mission add-ons that are offered on the official FSX Steam store, so I went elsewhere, I purchased a download called "Deluxe Bush Flying Christmas Bundle" from a site called PC Aviator. It had only 3, what sounded simple, activating instructions. The default aircraft the program wanted to use I couldn't find so purchased the closest thing to it on official FSX page & figured out how to make that the aircraft to use, so that part is good. Main problem: Soon as I load mission 1, it starts in a crashed state, and therefore FSX automatically ends the mission & attempts to restart, beginning the cycle again. I believe it has something to do with an error code I'm getting soon as I start up FSX, it says "SCENERY.CFG file error, Invalid remote scenery path in scenery area 122". ", and there's a few, all same except have different numbers at end. In the instructions it states to copy the scenery file & paste it in this other file, but apparently something is not right. Any ideas? I'd be willing to make a pay-pal donation to anyone who can help with this because its really annoying and there are no other missions on the official FSX page, which btw is crazy, they have many aircraft & airports, but not really any missions. Thanks.
