Hello, to make sure all is installed correctly i suggest to uninstall orbx-katl, make sure that has been fully removed, and downalod and install it again. Also make sure to do not have multiple options selected that might enabled the same thing twice. Also try to disable atl100 canopy lights, it should boost the performance. Matteo

Hello, there are for sure some problems at your end. With simple mesh is impossible to have elevation issues. Make sure to have the airport installed correctly and to do not have any other add-ons that might interfeer with Orbx-Katl. Glass of the terminals buildings also are transparent and permitt to see inside realistically. Open a support ticket or join Orbx discord for an immediate help. Best regards, Matteo Veneziani

Hello, I just want to make a clear statement about what this 3 update does. This update introduce a new mesh system called " Simple mesh " which is optionable in the control panel. Simple mesh provide a semplified mesh for the airport which this does not mean is all flat. Both mesh ( standard and simple mesh ) provide elevation changes. Standard mesh offer a more accurate rapresentation of the mesh, with elevation changes also for ramp zone and throught the entire airport ( a perfect replica of the real life ) but this unfortunately could lead to have some bumps in the mesh due to a bugs/limitation of simulator. Another limitation with standard mesh is due to slow loading time of the standar mesh this could lead to have sometimes floating objects, e.g. taxiway signs. Simple mesh offer more simplified version of the mesh. You won't have any bumps and floating objects at all now. With simple mesh you have flat for ramp zone and mostly for the taxiways, that in real life are about flat, but keep all the elevation changes for the iconic part of the airport; like runways and V loop. Also simple mesh keep all the cliffs around the airport. For texturing all the main terminals and mostly all the main buildings comes with 4k textures which are very high quality and photorealistic. ATL use also an innovative ambient occlusion system ( unique for this scenery ) that provide more realism to textures. Lasty this update has improved the performance again. I have reduced drawcalls drastically, for who loves to know the numbers; now there are about 2k drawcalls at the airport (initial release was more than 50k), drastically reduce the nodes counts and reduce texture size without affetting the quality. Now i can say Atl is one of the most optimized scenery out there. The release of Atl was some flaws for sure but now i am proud to say after 3 updates all the report issues have been fixed. I will continue to update this airport over the time by listening to the community feedback. More updates with extra improvements are coming soon! Thanks to everybody for support. I think a mess is too much. Which is your TLOD setting? Set to minimum 150. Make sure to do not have any other katl enabled. Based on my test + for many other people are perfectly usable. Yes there are some minor bumps but nothing nearly to be defined as a " mess ". The unique critical point is near the intersection for Delta TOC zone. Best regards, Matteo

Hello, make sure to do not have other katl enabled or have all the world update, updated. If you are experiencing big terrain ondulation or bump is not normal is more probably a wrong installation o setting. Make sure to have TLOD at minimum 150 for best result. Best regards, Matteo Veneziani

Hello i am on it to resolve drawcalls issue. I will release official statement about this as issue will be resolved. Menwhile a vram update+some more fixes has been released. Should help a lot. Btw: airport is full of LOD has required to work in msfs2024. Best regards, Matteo

Hello, at katl all objects have LOD. The way how msfs is designed do not allow to have models without LOD. If there were no lod the model would not been displayed. A lot of buildings at KATL comes with 5 or more lod. Btw i releasing an performance update where i have reduced the vram use. Now the size of the scenery go from 10gb to about 7gb. Plus i have added some more fix. Best regards, Matteo

Hello, i am matteo veneziani the dev of orbx-katl. I am here because i am reading some of you are experiencing some performance issue meanwhile is smooth for other. I am here just to help and to find a solution that may solve your issue. If you are experiencing stutters, first of all i can say that is not normal. It might be to a incorrect/ too high setting of the simulator. I strongly suggest to try with this setting. GOOD PC -Anti-aliasing: i use NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution ( not sure if is the same for all this option ) -NVIDIA DLSS super resolution: set to " performance " -TLOD: 250 -OLD: 150 -Texture Resolution: Ultra -Anisotropic Filtering: 16x -Shadows maps: 1024 -Terrain shadows: 512 -Contact shadows: Ultra LOW PC -Anti-aliasing: i use NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution ( not sure if is the same for all this option ) -NVIDIA DLSS super resolution: set to " performance " -TLOD: 150 -OLD: 100 -Texture Resolution: High -Anisotropic Filtering: 2x -Shadows maps: 768 -Terrain shadows: off/128 -Contact shadows: low Based on my test and over dozen of tester looks like what impact the performance much more is antialiasing setting, TLOD and shadows maps/terrain shadows.
