Honeycomb Bravo trim wheel.....works!!!
My Honeycomb Bravo, which I've had for a couple of years, has been problematic at best. None of the lights have ever worked, binding settings with FS2024 is a real challenge, but the biggest disappointment is the trim wheel, which works only sporadically, and sometimes not at all....until today! For some reason, when I selected the Pilatus jet (PC-24, I think) I found that the trim wheel worked almost perfectly--and I have no idea why. What a treat it is to be able to fly along and properly trim the plane out. I don't even need to use autopilot all the time...you just trim it out and it cruises along smoothly with only occasional small inputs to the trim wheel and yoke--the way it's supposed to work. What a treat it is to be able to fly and properly trim out the aircraft! I sure wish I could get this expensive thing to work with other aircraft, but for the time being I'll just stick with the Pilatus just for the enjoyment of a properly working trim wheel. I just had to post this because I'm celebrating. 🙂

Rudder pedals upgrade
I recently purchased the TPR pedals after I couldn't get my RD1's to work with 2024. While the RD1's are very nice, I much prefer the TPR's. Very smooth, accurate, and adjustable. Instant recognition from FS2024. You won't be disappointed.

ATC is running amok
OK, I've been able to at least disable ATC so it's stopped driving me to drink. Sagoland, you are correct in that it doesn't work anywhere near as well as 2020 which is surprising. I appreciate the assistance from all of you. 🙂

ATC is running amok
It is being done by the AI copilot, I believe. I see if I can disable that; I've all ready gone through the assistances menu to no avail. Thanks for the suggestions.

ATC is running amok
I'm about six weeks into FS2024 ownership. I know it's a new platform and will have bugs, but the ATC on this is seemingly out of control, particularly when compared to FS2020. For instance, as soon as I lift off I'm asking for flight following whether I want it or not. I can live with that. But, if I file a flight plan...as soon as I take off it's handing me to traffic control, and then the nuttiness begins. I (the virtual pilot here) am asking for a change in destination which ATC grants and then immediately wants me to fly at a ridiculously low altitude, usually between 1700 and 2400 feet which is much to low for anything bigger than a 172. I'll ask for an altitude increase which it grants and then once again I (the virtual pilot) am asking for a destination change (which I don't want) which is granted and then I'm told to descend to 2400 feet or thereabouts. This exchange goes on, over and over, until I get disgusted and end the flight. Going into settings and shutting down ATC entirely makes no difference at all. What in the world is going on here?

New user needs some help
OK, after enjoying FS2020 a fair amount, I took a year off and have recently started back up again with 2024. Very impressive, but I'm having trouble with a number of things. I can't get my Redbird pedals to work (even though they show up in the controls section), having trouble configuring my Honeycomb yoke and throttle, can't deploy water rudders on any floatplane, etc. What I need is a recommendation for a good tutorial on how to operate this whole shebang. I've searched (I believe thoroughly) on this forum and am still coming away confused. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. 🙂
