Rudder pedals upgrade

Featured Replies

As the title suggests - I am thinking of upgrading my current rudder pedals to something more realistic/immersive. I currently use TM T.Flight Rudder Pedals which gets the job done but when it comes to MSFS/2024, pedals seems ted more sensitive. Plus I have been using these pedals since I ever started flight simming some 7/8 years go but it is about time to upgrade these. I'm considering Thrustmaster's TPR Pendular Rudder Pedals, but these are 5x more expensive then the ones I currently have. What do you people think as well as if you own TPR pedals, what is your feedback?

I own one and I can only tell you that it is one of the best purchases I made for my hobby as a simmer. I am a fan of hardware that offers good quality at a competitive price and Thrustmaster TPR Pedals will not disappoint you.

So yes, TPR it is. I had MFG, and TPR was the winner of two. If the price is no object and you want something above TPR, there are CLS-E MK II Rudder Pedals.

Crosswinds for the win!

Yeah I heard good things about MFG pedals but for me I don't actually prefer that design.

Thanks - I think I'll probably go with TM TPR pedals.

Unfortunately - that's beyond my budget at the moment, with new PC and all, Maybe some point in the future I will consider it. For now TPR would be ideal choice I think.

I recently purchased the TPR pedals after I couldn't get my RD1's to work with 2024.  While the RD1's are very nice, I much prefer the TPR's.  Very smooth, accurate, and adjustable.  Instant recognition from FS2024.  You won't be disappointed.

I'm also looking for an upgrade from TFRP,  however my main issue is the room under my desk is only 406mm wide, looking around I only find Turtle beach V1 might fit, anyone know how V1 feels, or have other options?

So I got the TBV1 anyway... as I can't find any alternative. Here is a brief review:

Over all, it's OK, much smoother than TFPR for sure, big upgrade.

But, there is no damper for the rudder axis, for this price range, not ideal. By applying damping grease on the rail (very similar to TFPR), it's much better though.

The centering is by 2 springs on the liner rail. the problem is there is no "detent" feeling in the dead center, so a little force will nudge it out of center, I need to apply like 5% of dead zone for that.

The brakes are too soft, feels no heavier than TFPR really, while the rudder axis is much heavier. Perfreable to have load cell for brakes of course, but at least it should be heavier than rudder
