  1. I hate to as a daft question, but what do I do with the extracted .ECS file? I am having a devil of a time configuring EZCA for my 777-200LRX. I can't wait to get up in the air. Regards, Humphrey Awinyo
  2. Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I am frustrated because I would like to fly ASAP but am not able to do so. I can't reiterate enough how much I love the product. I have submitted tickets daily since 06 Aug 2011. The tickets must be falling through the cracks somewhere.If someone can point me to how I can copy the dll file from Notepad ++ to FSX, I think will be be back flying in my favorite aircraft soon. The last time I had an issue, it was resolved in a couple of hours. I hope my post was not construed as an attempt to trash PMDG.Also, I am not posting anonymously. I am posting with my real name which is H N Awinyo.
  3. PMDG may have a great product in the 747-400X. However, it seems like support for the product is becoming an issue of late. I have been submitting tickets regarding dll issues since 06 Aug 2011 with absolutely no success. Product support used to be prompt. Now it seems like one can go almost a week with no resolution. Like I said earlier, the product is great but the technical support quality aspect is in decline. What is the point of purchasing a product if one cannot obtain support when one needs it?
  4. Just spent all day trying to resolve the dll issue . Submitted 2 tickets and no help forthcoming. I am at the point where I it seems easier to just get rid of the PMDG 747-400 and either fly stock aircraft in FSX or go with the Level D 767. The dll.xml info doesn't tell one what to do with the file after editing in Notepad ++.
  5. Would fixing the dll problem also fix the lack of engine sounds in the 747-400X and the inability to power up from a cold and dark cockpit after a shutdown but with external power connected?
  6. I go by the checklist and I still get no power to even power up the displays. Never had this prob before.
  7. Thanks for the info on V speeds. I now see what I was doing wrong. As for the A/T, I disable it at 200 ft to hand-fly the landing. I set the throttles to idle but for some reason, the engines spool up to take-off thrust uncommanded by me.
  8. I am having problems powering up the 744 from cold and dark state. I click the battery button, switch source power to auto. Also I never seem to get external power even at major airports.
  9. There are no callouts for V1, VR, and V2 even after programming the FMC. Also, I am on finals and actually touch down when the autothrottles cause the engines to spool up uncommanded.
