August 10, 201114 yr PMDG may have a great product in the 747-400X. However, it seems like support for the product is becoming an issue of late. I have been submitting tickets regarding dll issues since 06 Aug 2011 with absolutely no success. Product support used to be prompt. Now it seems like one can go almost a week with no resolution. Like I said earlier, the product is great but the technical support quality aspect is in decline. What is the point of purchasing a product if one cannot obtain support when one needs it?
August 10, 201114 yr They are probably very busy at the moment. You know, bug fixing etc on PMDG 737 NGX Martin Stendersø SPECS: i5 2500K @ 4,7GHz 1GB GTX 560 TI (900MHz) (ASUS) 4 GB GT Dominator 1866 MHz DDR3 RAM (CORSAIR) P8P67 Motherboard (ASUS) Windows 7 SP1 64-Bit FSX SP2 Deluxe
August 10, 201114 yr A week huh? Hmm, let's see you submitted a ticket "06 Aug 2011." it is August 9, 2011 here in Pacific Canada, a rough estimate suggest that it has been only 3 days since you began submitting tickets. Moreover, less than a week ago, uhm August 5, 2011 PMDG released one of their newer products and have been dealing with support tickets. Provided you are a registered user of the 747X you have access to PMDG's support portal where there is a detailed knowledge base, have you tried helping yourself? One more thing, I guess you can say is a rule which is more than a week old, sign your real name to your post's friend. \Robert Hamlich/
August 10, 201114 yr Commercial Member Nameless, No one is ignoring your tickets - we've had all tickets in the system answered by the end of the night every day since the NGX release. I've been putting in 16 hour days answering tickets this entire past week basically. Are you positive you're actually submitting them correctly? A 747 dll.xml issue is very easy to deal with, there's no reason I'd ignore that. I see no tickets on that issue in the system right now - the few that are there are NGX issues I'm waiting for programmer comment on. August 10, 201114 yr Author Thanks for the quick reply. I guess I am frustrated because I would like to fly ASAP but am not able to do so. I can't reiterate enough how much I love the product. I have submitted tickets daily since 06 Aug 2011. The tickets must be falling through the cracks somewhere. If someone can point me to how I can copy the dll file from Notepad ++ to FSX, I think will be be back flying in my favorite aircraft soon. The last time I had an issue, it was resolved in a couple of hours. I hope my post was not construed as an attempt to trash PMDG.Also, I am not posting anonymously. I am posting with my real name which is H N Awinyo.

I didn't think that you were trashing PMDG I thought that you were being a little impatient considering the timing of your ticket. Hi Rick,Just flew it a little, bought it Friday night and stayed up way too late after an early 03:30 wake-up the prior morning. I then worked my 4 shifts until this morning. Glad to say that I'll be up at 06:00 tomorrow to give her a try. I've been wondering about the "project" ... PM on the way. \Robert Hamlich/
