  1. Unlikely, but not impossible..! :-)
  2. Hey! Did you ever find a resolution to this? I'm having the same problem 2 decades later...
  3. I'm at my wits end with FSX (PC, from steam) and I can't find any other post with the same issue as me. In settings > controls, the 'controller type' can, in theory be selected. After selection, pressing 'OK' should save this, but for me it doesn't. I have a list of 4 controller types: Mouse Yoke Mouse Look TCA Sidestick X Copilot TCA Q-Eng 1&2 FSX defaults to selecting the controller type at the bottom of the list. If I select any other controller and press OK, then immediately reopen controller settings, it reverts back to the bottom of the list. This happens if I unplug one of / both of the TCA controllers too. The main troubleshooting advice I've found is to delete the 'Standard.XML' file and reboot the game so it creates a new one, or to ensure it has the permissions to overwrite the file. My problem is that pressing OK in the controller menu DOES save SOME information. If I untick 'enable controllers', change the keyboard sensitivity sliders etc, those settings will be there if I close & re-open the controller menu. At this point I've exhausted all troubleshooting efforts. Even if you don't know the answer to this question, but you have the same issue, feel free to reply. It'd be good to know if this is affecting anyone else!!
