What is the best 777 payware out there (200/300 series). I've used POSKY in the past, however, I don't like the fact that you don't get a VC, and I've heard it's difficult to get one (I tried, and failed)> Anyway, I'm looking for a really realistic 777 payware model with a good VC and FMC! (which I think POSKY doesn't offer.) Will PMDG be releasing a 777 soon? I've got their 737-8/900 NGX and 747-400X and 747-800 and they're amazing!! So that's what I'm looking for. Any stories of past experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hey all, My second attempt at the insane 11+ hour flight from Heathrow to Tokyo-Narita, over VATSIM. All of this was in real time, and I had VATSIM Supervisors check in twice during the flight! (Luckily enough, not during one of my "executive rest periods" i.e Nap Nap Time! ) The first time I tried, I fell asleep right after entering Japanese airspace.. So frustrating! -- Speedbird 5 prepping for her voyage, filling up on food for the airplane and the PAX. -- SID and RW is in, arriving EZY aircraft wished me good luck on my trip over UNICOM, what a lovely chap. Loving the reflections on the glass @ Aerosoft/SimWing's Heathrow.. -- Takeoff and banking right on a typical dreary, cloudy, British morning. -- Fast forward 10 hours, here we are planning the approach into Narita. We'll be using the CVCSA STAR into ILS34L. The furthest ring is our DME arc from the NRE VOR, we'll be making our turn along this arc. The next ring in is our gear down marker. The folks at Narita want the gear down 12NM from the IYQ VOR to prevent ice-blocks falling into populated areas. The last ring in is 4NM from IYQ, which is our Landing Flap extension point. Again, Narita wants a delayed flap extension schedule, so we'll be nice and comply ;-) -- A random shot before making the arcing turn. -- Just before we bring down the gear @ 12NM from IYQ. -- Holding 169 knots, just before we bring out landing flaps at 159 knots @ 4nm from IYQ. A/P Disconnected, the big bird is mine after almost 11 hours! -- Slowed to VRef as we bring out landing flap 25. -- 11 hours and 5 minutes on the clock. Speedbird 5 has landed! Jobs not done yet though, Narita has a BUNCH of complex intersections. *sigh* -- Rampie got this picture of 'er after we docked up. Lovely! -- This brings an end to our pseudo trip report! I hope you fellas enjoyed it.. ;-) Sorry for uploading to Flickr, Imgur refused to let me upload, no idea why.

Good Evening folks, Finally installed SP1C for the base package and -300ER expansion. When I first went back onto Flight Sim, I had no liveries for any of the 777s, now when I go back, the liveries for the LR/F are back, but the 300ER is completely gone. It is no longer on the livery lists for me, manager or downloader, and simply doesn't exist. I try and go back to install SP1C, but it says I already have it for the 300ER expansion. Any Help, folks? Thanks Andy Green An additional point or two: 1) In my simobjects/Airplanes folder, I have the 777-GMC (with all the 300ER liveries), as well as a separate -300ER with all liveries 2) When loading, it has "multiple entries with the same name: PMDG 777-GMC" about 10 times....

Just a few pictures of PMDG's 777, enjoy! -- A British Airways 77W loading up for the long flight to Tokyo - Into the sunset! - Dawn, on the way to Mumbai, I believe.. - Tail end of the monsoon season in India leads to some gnarly WX on arrival! - Another LHR gate picture, this time preparing to head out to IAD.. - This one's got some muscular arms, eh? :-P - A Qatari 77W awaits departure clearance out to Singapore's Changi International.. - FDX 77F loading up to head out to PANC from KIAD. - Different day, same airport. FDX 77F starting up @ KIAD - PAX grabbed a nice shot of the sunset as Qatari 6 heads out to LHR. - Great abs! :-D - Banking out of OTHH enroute LOWW. - Unloading @ Changi WSSS. - Outstanding livery by Steve Dra, in action @ EGKK - Bringing an EK aircraft home @ OMDB - Thanks for looking, I'll put up a 737 one in good time!

I'm looking for a 777-300ER repaint in the old JAL cigarette livery. I've searched the community livery thread and the library here and couldn't find one. I did find one for the 77L though. Does anybody have one or know where I could download one from? Thanks!

I bought the 777-300ER expansion pack and updated the PMDG Ops Center, but I don't see any new documentation for the -300ER pack. I have tried reinstalling the -300ER expansion pack as well as the Ops Center, but it has made no difference. Is there something I am missing? -haveblue7

Hello everyone. I used to fly with the default eyepoint until today. A few days ago when reading the 777’s Introduction manual, I noticed some tricks proposed there for camera adjusting, but I just didn’t pay much attention. Today, however, while performing a mid-range flight, I decided to try said tricks out. Obviously, since it’s something new it looks weird to me, especially when landing, due to the fact that I have to totally move the camera up and leave my instruments behind when trying to visually line-up with the runway (that’s the way it’s supposed to be eh?). Also, when on the ground, if I focus on the instruments I can roughly see a few meters of horizon ahead, not the entire field as I used to. However, I want your opinion (especially PMDG guys, real 777 pilots, and people who has flown the plane in the real deal simulator). For me it looks like the eyepoint was a little high, but I can’t really tell a thing since I’ve never been in the real plane, let alone its cockpit. Does my setup look realistic? I have a 19’’ Samsung monitor (8:5), resolution is 1440x900 and WideViewAspect=True. Introduction manual doesn't tell anything about moving the camera forward or backwards, which I don't know if it could also have an impact in the view's realism (logically it also should). Some pictures attached (all of them in the 777-300ER): 1. 0.8 zoom, focused on the instruments (part of the horizon also visible though): 2. View of both the yoke and the checklist holder as shown in the Introduction manual, although both don't match perfectly: 3. Again focused on the instruments, this time with a zoom of 0.9: 4. Focused on the horizon: 5. Camera tilted to the right, to have a reference of its height compared to the first officer's seat: 6. Yoke and captain's seat, looking well centered in the screen: 7. These last two now on the ground, with a zoom of 1.0: 8. And the horizon: One issue that became more evident after trying this, and worsened by the 777-300ER's length, is the with which camera drifts off-position even with a slight movement of the plane. It's really annoying and distracting to be constantly trying to move it back to where it should be. I'm seriously considering to purchase EZCA when I have some money. According to what I've read in other posts it seems to be really worth it when it comes to customizing views and assigning a specific camera location to a defined button. Thanks in advance!
