We have got now a good workaround for running EFB with P3D till EFB V2 release (renaming of the Data Provider EXE-file).

Take a look at the Aivlasoft forum - It's a great solution!

To run Aivlasoft EFB with Prepar3d I created the fake fsx.exe (I used nvidia inspector for that) and Aivlasoft EFB Data Provider is up and running and connects to 'fsx'.

But when I activate a flightplan in the Display Unit, the Data Provider answers with: Error-Exception from FSX received:LOAD_FLIGHTPLAN_FAILED

 

How can I deal with this problem?

I use EFB and don't have such problem loading the flightplans into P3D and the GPS. I have tested it both local and remote configurations.

Everything works for me but I can't see any traffic? I am using it on a client computer and have the traffic settings active. It is connected to FSX/P3D and I can see my plane but no traffic. Is this a compatibility issue or something on my end.......

I know that this thread is quite old, but while reading through it, I found out that some people suffered from a stuttering in the sim while EFB is running.

I am running P3D 2.5 with the NGX and the latest version of Aivlasoft´s EFB. Suprisingly, after 4 or 5 succesful and very smooth flights, the sim began to stutter, sometimes every 0.5 - 1 second, so it became quite unflyable. The stuttering totally disappears as soon as I close the data provider.

Anybody else discovered that prblem while using P3D 2.5, the NGX and EFB together?

I did have it all the time in FSX and therefore i have only used EFB with GA aircrafts because that would not give me those stutters. I will try again with the NGX and report later

I use it on all of my FSX flights with no issues at all!

It's strange that the first flights in P3D, with the Aerosoft Airbus AND the NGX worked perfectly. I updated ASN in the meantime, maybe that changed something which is now leading to this hefty stuttering.
