In search of the northern lights 3 (EKRN - EKRK)

Recommended Posts

In continuation of my tour up to Norway (Part 2 here), we fly from Rønne over the southern coast of Sweden and into Copenhagen.

It's a nice morning at Bornholm as we prepare for our next leg.

We begin the climbout before turning around and heading over Rønne and out towards Sweden

After a 20 minute flight over water we approach the southern coast of Sweden, which we willl continue along towards Malmo before crossing over to Denmark's most populous island Zeeland.

This is the location of a very impressive bridge and tunnel between Sweden and Denmark. The bridge runs to the small artificial Island in the middle and the rest is a tunnel which runs into Denmark and towards Copenhagen.

As we approach Zeeland, Copenhagen's main large airport is below us. We won't be landing here but instead continuing on to Rocksilde, the cheaper airport located some distance outside of the city.

After some difficulty spotting the airport, I finally begin my approach.

After landing, there is plenty of time to explore Copenhagen, which is a short bus-ride away.

In the next part we'll fly North West towards Aalborg, our final stop before heading into Norway.
