June 20, 200223 yr Same message as before, but this time I'll put my real name, because I would like a reply from PMDG.Well, before I begin any sort editorial or mention any faults in the new 757-200 for Fly!2 software. I would like to first off say that, I appreciate all the hard work from the people at PMDG, I'm not a programmer, but from what little knowledge of programming I do know, I can say that I can't even begin to imagine how many hours of tedious, mind-numbing data entering those people went through to bring this product to us. So once again, to PMDG: Thank you and good job, and for $35.00 a pop, I can only hope that it may soon be worth your while. I don't know whether anyone from PMDG spends anytime in this forum or not, but if they do, that's great. With that out of the way, I have a few questions and/or suggestions which if anybody from PMDG reads anything in these forums hopefully then will include anything that I may mention in an upcoming patch.First, besides the landing gear which appears at night issue. I don't know if just me but at night I'm not getting any night textures, however I have only tried so far with your Delta repaint.Second, I know for a fact that the landing gear, when in the down position (external views) looks totally unrealistic because of the fact that in the real 757 the main wheels "hang" from their struts while the aircraft is in the air, instead of the wheels appearing flat and level as they do in this software. For me this is a big issue, and I would really like to know if it is something that is fixable?Third, the cabin pressurization system is unavailable for the pilot the play with. (I'm sure you know this already)Fourth, no big deal, but I was wondering if you could add cargo heat to the upper panel? If a passenger brings his/her pet with them, the animal will definately be DOA.Fifth, I would like to know what changes and new features we can expect in the first patch for the 757-200, When it will be available, and also if you will include anything I have mentioned in an upcoming patch.I can only hope that you will continue to upgrade and provide support for this new aircraft like you have in the past. But I wouldn't come to expect anything else from you guys. Once again, thank you, and release a patch soon.JeffLas Vegas, NVPMDG Customer

Good work! ;-)>First, besides the landing gear which appears at night >issue. That would be the obvious culprit. If you are not getting lights- I would check the following:a) You are running V230 as suggested in the readme.txt:( Your video card drivers>Second, I know for a fact that the landing gear, ...and I >would really like to know if it is something that is fixable?Sure... Learn to program...get a job at TRI- and fix the suspension model for us. :-lol We've reported our dislike of the decisions TRI made on the suspension modeling already. I don't anticpiate a fix.>Third, the cabin pressurization system is unavailable for >the pilot the play with. (I'm sure you know this already) Ah....Really? Unless you like flirting with getting a serious talking to from your captain (or Chief Pilot) it is best to leave the beast in AUTO mode and set the landing altitude as required. I've flown airplanes with manual pressurization systems- and automatic. In the automatic- I set the landing field elevation before takeoff- and I don't think another thing about it unless something breaks....>Fourth, no big deal, but I was wondering if you could add >cargo heat to the upper panel? If a passenger brings his/her >pet with them, the animal will definately be DOA. Cargo heat on this airplane is automatic as a function of the normal airflow through the airplane. It isn't something that was "left out." Keep in mind we modeled this on a -222 airplane, and some customers may have different setups...>Fifth, I would like to know what changes and new features we >can expect in the first patch for the 757-200, When it will >be available, and also if you will include anything I have >mentioned in an upcoming patch. We have had no discussion of a patch yet...so I'm not able to tell you... ;-)>I can only hope that you will continue to upgrade and >provide support for this new aircraft like you have in the >past. We intend to- at the moemnt most of us are taking a bit of a breather- as we have had a major product in development consistantly for nearly three years straight... We need a break, so all of us are trying to relax a bit!Robert S. RandazzoPrecision Manuals Development Group http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/coolcap.gifwww.precisionmanuals.com Robert S. June 21, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hey Robert, hope your time away is being well spent. :-) (I know mine is)Jeff,The Auto Pressurization on the 757 is run by 2 individual Automatic controllers that cross talk to ensure that unless a massive problem takes out both of the Auto Controllers you will always have Auto Pressurization. I have worked the 757 for 10 years and can never recall a dual system failure. Similar deal on the Cargo Heat. The Aft pit is heated automatically and the only thing the pilot woud see is a Cargo Heat Eicas msg if the system was inop. Nothing he could do about it but tell the Pets owner that the Dog may require a bit of defrosting on the other end. :-lolKind of goes back to the Airbus philosophy of the Pilot and the Dog. Pilot is on board to feed the Dog. Dog bites the pilot if he touches anything :-)(sorry Robert)RegardsPaul :-cool Paul Gollnick Manager Customer/Technical Support Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
