April 23, 200323 yr I've been giving some thought about helping to start a "737 NG Flying Club" based upon PMDG's new 737 series aircraft and was wondering what some of you folks think about this? There are and will be many talented individuals purchasing this remarkable aircraft and comming together will help everyone with many issues regarding the operation of the 737. I can picture the Vatsim skys swarming with these new 737s.Maybe Mark H. can help with a nice logo for this purpose when he gets free time from development?Any other ideas-suggestions are welcome.[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. April 24, 200323 yr That would be fun. It would take me a while to learn the 737 before I get to do that but, yeah. Great Idea. Count me in.Ryan
April 24, 200323 yr Author Hello Ryan, well this is why I feel that this is important here. Learning is half the fun! I cannot tell you how excited I was to fly an aircraft for the first time under the control of the FMC. This aircraft is every bit as intricate as PIC 767 (if not more) and what I wish for us to strive for in this club is realism. Please don't be put off by the fact that you don't know on how to fly a 737 NG yet. We need to come together and share our combined efforts and knowledge. I believe that there will be a wealth of information provided in this forum for everyone's needs. Welcome aboard![h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. April 25, 200323 yr This to me sounds like a great idea! Really good! I currently fly the DF737 so to me this is just seems the most logical next step. The sharing of knowledge both new and old would be a fantastic idea!Count me in if thats ok!All the very best!Simon Lloyd
May 13, 200323 yr Hey Randy -count me in too as I have anxiously awaiting to add this great looking addon to my virtual hanger and retiring PIC-gasp! to the graveyard in the skies (although I am looking forward to the next plane from WELP whatever it is).I will actuallu be travelling on a Westjet 737-700 from ottawa next month and hoipefully will get a chance to peek in the cockpit and chat with the pilots if possible before takeoff so I really hope PMDG will have it out before the middle of next month.
May 13, 200323 yr Author Gooper buddy! Hey brother, *whispers* you must sign you name here in this forum, hehe. Good to see you around bud. Welcome aboard! Wade has stated that the *next* project is PIC VERSION 2, but they are not very sure if it will be completed. Of well, we have the very best right here with this beautiful NG![h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. May 13, 200323 yr Nah!...You won't be left out... You will just need a couple of days more to bring the babe from Australia and another two to get it back! ;-)Nice Idea Randy. Is it just me, or do I get the feeling that this forum will become VERY active when the NG hits the skies? ;-) :lolFly Safe,George DorkofikisAthens, Greece
May 13, 200323 yr >>>>>>>>>>>>>hi Coimbra i like to join your European Fly in, but i will be Qantas 737, so i may be left out ClaytonHi, I just gave an example. You, Qantas 737 try to find information on Australia and we will be able to fly virgin blue 737 or 738, Qantas 738 and other airlines in australia or closed by and we will be landing in your country also and of course with provided ATC :-blaWell, there is also a very good runway in the New Zealand. I have seen some videos with a lot of wind and jumpy aircrafts in the finals. :-jumpyA good place to fly this bird :-lolCoimbra
May 13, 200323 yr Hi, For a fly-in I even have two ideas for the first ones:1. Iberian region - Spain is normally well staffed by the air europa
