April 26, 200323 yr Commercial Member I'm curious about this as well - to date the PSS Airbus is the only FMS that's attempted to simulate psuedo-waypoints. (to varying degrees of success depending on the particular procedure)For example, the west-flow BXK1 DP out of KPHX begins with a left turn to hdg 240 upon reaching 1550 MSL, followed by a right turn to hdg 280 passing 13DME PXR - will the FMC be able to depict this? (I have seen it programmed in a 757)It'd be awesome if you guys were able to implement this kind of thing and make it easy for us to edit the procedure database. Thanks!Ryan Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 26, 200323 yr Commercial Member Gents-have you ever seen our Fly!2 757 FMC? It already has those capabilities, so I fully expect Anthony Merton (our resident FMC guru) to be able to put them in the upcoming FMC!Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
April 27, 200323 yr Hi Team.Im only a student pilot at this time and dont know a great deal about FMC sysrems. If I was to read all the documentation that comes with this plane. Will I eventually get the idea of it all? Or should I just forget about it?When I become a pilot. Its my dream to fly commercial aircraft so hopefully it wont cause any problems.Does that make any sense?Cheers,Ryan
April 27, 200323 yr Hi guysI have a question regarding SID/STAR programming in the FMC. Usually the preprogrammed waypoints in the FMC database can be conditional and/or fly-by or fly-over. Will this be implemented for the user to program as well? I mean not necessarily when sitting on the flight deck programming the route but rather when adding or editing existing terminal routes like SID/DP/STAR/APP.Thanks Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
April 27, 200323 yr hello RyanI think you could take it as an introduction toward the real airplane at most. Anyhow the bottom line is it is "intended for use with MS FS only" :-)VatinVTBD
April 27, 200323 yr Commercial Member Ryan-We will be including a relatively robust manual to help you through it. I guarantee that you will learn alot about airline style flying when you climb into the cockpit of this airplane! We will also recommend some books that you can buy to study up.... :-coolGlad to hear you have chosen aviation as a career- you won't regret it, I promise! (I certainly don't!) Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
April 28, 200323 yr ahh kool. Glad to hear that.I relise that this addon is designed for FS. But it should introduce me to the world of commercial aircraft. This addon is getting better everyday. Im definatly going to buy this if I can find a way to do so.Cheers,Ryan
