July 1, 200322 yr First of all: this is a great aircraft and I'm sure I'll get to love it, after I've been able to read the docs and fully understand the FMC etc..But in the meantime, a question: the Flight Director switch shows nicely in the "off" position, but disappears in the "on" position.. is the color of the switch lever possibly the same as the background??Nvidia GF4-4200 video with 1280x960x32 resolution.. Bert
July 1, 200322 yr I am not able to reproduce this, but will add it to list of things that need to be checked. Thanks for the tip!
July 1, 200322 yr Not a big issue, but IRL there are a little light over the FD switch that illuminates on the first FD switch to be flicked, to indicate if the First Officer or the Captain FD is in command.
July 2, 200322 yr I do have almost the same problem with the FD switch, but I believe that all it is a "close color" match to the panel - maybe a grey that blends in w/ the blue. The edge of the switch just lines up so evenly with the switch outline. Having a 21" monitor helps!Joe Lorenc Joe Lorenc
July 2, 200322 yr I am running Geforce4 TI4200 as well and in 1024X768 or 1280x 1024 with (or without) AA turned I am not seeing your problem. Could you drop you res and see if it solves the problem? Also does the problem change at night?ThxGeorge George Morris
July 2, 200322 yr Author The problem is the same at lower resolutions. At night, the switch is somewhat visible, but in daytimeit fades into the panel. See attached picture (noteautothrottle switch clearly visible, FD switch hardlyvisible) Bert
July 2, 200322 yr Bert,This is due to the shadowing and shape of the switch against the background of the switch housing (shadowing is a very similar color as the switch housing). It is still visible in your picture. If you look closely the switch is in the up position.George George Morris
July 2, 200322 yr Author George, you are right, it is visible.. if I look closely..Probably not worth fussing over, but could be improved, oncethe team runs out of bigger items to address.. Bert
July 2, 200322 yr Bert,I will mention to the team when we begin next phase of testing. We'll see if something can be done.George George Morris
