July 2, 200322 yr If I reinstall FS2002 or FS2004, do I need a new activation code? Or do I only need a new activation code if I format the HD or reinstall WXP?Thanks in advance,http://www.scandicair.com/images/SA_Banner4b.jpg Staffan
July 2, 200322 yr Good questions, I'd like to know the answer as well. I think since your code is based on your hardware, you can use the same code if you format/reinstall Windows XP (But I'm not sure, this is just a guess). What I want to know is can you have the aircraft installed to both your FS2002 and FS2004 folder at the same time?
July 2, 200322 yr Gents-I'm pretty sure you can use the 737TNG on both FS2002 and FS2004 with the same license key, but I'm gonna check with Lefteris on it just to be sure.I'll let you know once I find out the answer.
July 2, 200322 yr Marc - In a prior post Lefteris said the key would work in both. But I think the question is a little different. What happens if I just reinstall FS2002 (or FS2004)? Can I use the same code I have now? I understand that if I reformat the HD or change hardware I need a new code, but how about just a plain old reinstall of the same version of MSFS with no OS or hardware changes?Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. July 2, 200322 yr Author That is exactly my thoughts aswell. :-)My worries though is that you need a new code each time you do something to FS2002 or FS2004. But hey...lets wait and hear what PFDG says about this. ;-)http://www.scandicair.com/images/SA_Banner4b.jpg Staffan
July 2, 200322 yr Yes, it's beginning to sound like a problem. There is another thread to the effect that you need a new code if you just move the install between hard drives. That doesn't even require a reinstall and certainly doesn't require added hardware. I think they've gone way too far with the secutiry on this one. I'm beginning to regret buying it. Just imagine the grief we'll have if every developer takes this approach. I don't have time for all this stuff. It's getting to be too much.Doug Intel 10700K @ 5.1Ghz, Asus Hero Maximus motherboard, Noctua NH-U12A cooler, Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 3200 MHz RAM, RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, 100TB of disk storage. July 2, 200322 yr What happends if i reinstall xp, exakt same verision and key..Will i need a new key then to ?
July 2, 200322 yr Commercial Member Gents-to alleviate your worries:REINSTALLING:Reinstalling MSFS2002 does NOT affect our software, UNLESS you delete the fs2002modules5367-8731-2229-7642-5713 folder. When you reinstall MSFS, just don't delete that folder, and you'll be OK.HARD DISK:Reformatting your hard disk WILL affect this. You WILL need to transfer/upgrade your license, before you do so, as documented already.OPERATING SYSTEM:Reinstalling your OS ON TOP of the old one does NOT affect our software. All should be fine.Cheers,Lefteris Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
