Hi guys!I was just wondering, how correct are the weight limits in the load manager?According to my manuals, the max takeoff weight for the 737-700 is 154,400 lbs while according to the load manager it is only 133,000 lbs.Can you guys check this?Unfortunately, I do not have any info regarding the -600.Regards,Mark

I am not sure what manual you are refering to but my manuals state that this is an *option* not a *set* weight for all 700's or 600s for that matter. It lists 133.5'[h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. From another post...maybe it has something to do with ETOPS certification model....???? "Thanks Marc, that flight plan and loading looks sensible, incl the head winds going west. The place I'm getting messed up on is the issue of MAX TOW. The PMDG load planner says MTOW is 133,00 lbs. Which means with the ZFW you listed, for a medium load, of 110,000 lbs, couldn't get the Aloha 73-700NG to Hawaii. You would need to get the ZFW number way down to have enough fuel for this range. The Continental flight manual I downloaded for the 700 series has a MZFW of 120,500 lbs, which is consistent with the PMDG fuel planner, but a MTOW of 154,500 lbs. However, the Continental birds are ETOPS certified for their western Pacific routes, and of course so are the new models that Aloha is flying. I suspect that PMDG is not modelling an ETOPS certified aircraft? That could explain why the takeoff speeds calculated seem so low to folks...they are consistent with what is in the Continental flight manual, but 120,000 lbs or so for a takeoff weight seems low for this 737-300. The takeoff weights are low because that is what is coming out of the load editor. I tend to blow through them and even with 6-7 deg NU trim I can't rotate until 140 kts or so. I'm sure PMDG will straighten this out, at least in my mind...regards,Chris J ConklinCAPT, USCG "

The 3 main MTOW options for the -700 from Boeing are.133,000 lbs153,000 lbs154,500 lbsI think most have selected (purchased) the higher MTOW from Boeing, to allow for the long haul stuff. You can buy new wts from Boeing after orig. purchase (show me the $$).Whilst at TWA we paid Boeing for a new MTOW of 255,000lbs on our B757s (orig. was 235,000lbs).Marc Brodbeck

Hi guys, thanks for clearing this up!I was assuming this, but wasn't sure. Anyway, I think I'll hand in my virtual ATP cause I'm gonna fly the -700 with the higher MTOW on long hauls. Or can I persuade PMDG to give us a license to operate at higher MTOW's? ;-)Regards,Mark

I do almost all of my virtual flying for Continental Virtual so I would appreciate the MTOW Upgrade to 154,500# if at all possible PMDG. Right now, I'm flying my long hauls at a 75% Load Factor just to eliminate the possibility of mid air refueling. :-lol I think the passengers might get a little nervous as I pull up to a KC10 Extender on my way from Houston to Aruba.....
