Invalid Machine Code, was working before.

Featured Replies

I have been waiting for the patch to use the PMDG, but was preparing to re-format today. I successfully installed and registered the product when it first came out and flew successfully with my code from you guys, I went into FS2002 today to produce the Transfer Code as you have warned us to do. :) Well the problem is I can't get to that screen because of the Invalid Machien Code.. not really sure what to do. I am CERTAIN that it was properly registered before and can not think of anything that I have changed since it was installed. Any ideas? To clarify.. 1) Installed transfer code around when it first came out - was succesful, flew after code was installed.2) Haven't tried to fly it/access it since today - waiting for patch.3) Getting invalid machine code, unable to produce transfer code. 4) ):

I had the same thing happen. Worked in the morning and dead in the afternoon. The cause was never determined. Not a problem though. Just send them an e-mail with your purchase details and they'll get you a new reg key (I got mine back in less than four hours).Doug

Alright, it shouldn't be a problem anyway, I've still got every e-mail including my old registration code.

Are you CERTAIN you haven't changed your PC motherboard, updated BIOS, changed any hard disk details (partition magic?) or any such thing happening? The license key works for as long as you keep those hardware components.

Now that I think about it, I formatted a drive (non FS2002) but didn't modify the partition at all.. no hardware was added or removed, but I suppose that did it.. I do assume however that I get another code.. right?

Hi Lefteris,I had this exact same issue only days after the initial release. Rob (boss) responded to my support e-mail almost immediately and got me going again with a new code. Once again, no changes whatsoever to anything in my system. The support here is great, and the product has some enormous potential (is great now too); but this security code stuff will lose you revenue eventually (which is ironic, since that's why you have implemented it). :) That's just my opinion. Lefteris, will the patch address the issue of folks using Partition Magic, perhaps resizing non-PMDG/FS partitions, invalidating their key? What about if I add a hard disk for backup purposes, will that invalidate my key even if it has nothing to do with PMDG/FS?Lee Hetherington (KBED)

That's my point here Lefteris the program is way to much overhead, with all respect but the program isn't client friendly...I'll notice also the following (nothing changed on my system), but leave the aircraft loaded in FS2002 switch after 20 mins to 2d cockpit view and there you have the green demo windows then the system restores and all MFD displays are back (windows)...Every time you load the aircraft it checks the license... :(Will there be a change in the upcoming patch that the code will be optimized? (as programmer we call it foul proof) Andr

Andre-what you report is really strange- we've had a couple users with license key issues from one day to the other (99% of the time it was because they unknowingly changed their hard disks somehow and the 1% of the time it was because they were using a variable-CPU-timed laptop which causes problems), but we've NEVER had issues with leaving FS2002 loaded and running, and this problem appearing after 30 minutes.I NEED you to give me details about your PC - if I can nail this quickly, that would be great!Also- as I said before, we're almost done with an automated way of getting a license key on our web site, so the email time-lag will go away as well.

Thanks Lefteris, however this event occurs only when I'm going in spot view and waiting for about 20 mins....Noticed this the first time when I walked away from the sim and came back :(It has occured now three times, but this one isn't a major issue for me only it looks like the event/error handling has some gaps...Going to test again and see if I can trigger this event...If you still needed my PC details (as a daily IT worker I build my own of course :-)) let me know, can it be also with and update for example of DX 9 that this could occur...? Andr
