July 27, 200322 yr They can do anything they desire Rich, it's their forum and it's this this type of atitude that needs to go away. If your posts are not RUDE then I have no idea what that word means. I just hope they take it a step further for those who do nothing but cause bad feelings insted of healthy friendly dialog, you know the kind that works. [h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. July 27, 200322 yr Randy,So you can't post anything negative? All you can do is post when you want to tell the developers how well they've been doing? If I pay money for something and it doesn't work as it should I have every right to say something (we've been here before). If you can explain to me exactly where you think I was rude then maybe we could have a useful chat.It really does seem like if you say anything negative at all on these forums then you are outcast. What is the point in continually saying everything is OK when it isn't? Can you not speak the truth anymore?Basically, what you are saying is that anyone who says something negative should be banned from these forums, and therefore pretty much banned from getting support and their right to free speech?By the way - did you read my original (deleted) post?I don't mean this post to be negative - take it whichever way you want.Rich.
July 27, 200322 yr RobertI don`t want a patch I want my money back and you are not giving it back. You have not provided a properly working product or fixed it in a timely manner and I am again requesting a refund. It`s that simple.Ron-We are unable to offer a refund on products that are deliveredelectronically. I'm sorry that you feel waiting until this weekend isimpossible for you. I'm sure you will find the benefits worthwhile.Robert S. July 27, 200322 yr Rich,I see that you have only 38 post so far now, so I think you are new to this forums or you have been registered under a different name in the past.If you are new here than I can give you just one advise : you should learn that AddOns for FS will never satisfy everone
July 27, 200322 yr Matthias,I've been around a long long time and have a lot of experience with flight sim. I wouldn't judge people by how many posts they have made. Don't forget if you don't post semi-regularly then you start again.I have, in the past, detailed what I thought was wrong with this aircraft. I have no proposals, just patch it.Lastly, I have said in a few posts that I believe this aircraft to have potential.Next...Rich.
July 27, 200322 yr @ Rich :"...I've been around a long long time and have a lot of experience with flight sim. I wouldn't judge people by how many posts they have made..."-> maybe you should read my first sentence again :>I see that you have only 38 post so far now, so I think you are new to this forums or you have been registered under a different name in the past<"...Lastly, I have said in a few posts that I believe this aircraft to have potential..."->if that
July 27, 200322 yr Matthias,I read your first sentence again.I haven't a clue why you think I want a refund - I have NEVER said I did. Are you sure you aren't confusing me with Ron in one of the posts above? In any case, I think this thread has got way off topic. I will gladly continue this conversation in another thread / more suitable location / in private etc. Or just go for it here till the thread gets locked or deleted - the choice is yours and the invite is open to anyone.Rich.
July 27, 200322 yr Hmmmm, reinvent the wheel and lose time or pay a little and gain time and resources? Considering the pay scales and ROI, I know what I tell my developers....;-)http://saltydogfly2.avsim.net/images/avsim_sig.jpg"I am the keeper of the cheese; you are the lemon merchant"
July 27, 200322 yr IMHO, you guys can take this offline.http://saltydogfly2.avsim.net/images/avsim_sig.jpg"I am the keeper of the cheese; you are the lemon merchant"
July 27, 200322 yr Rich, it's really hard to deal with certain people on a board, we sometimes write in ways that we would never say face to face. I did not see your deleted post but was going off your responce to it's removal. Statements such as "You did not like the truth eh?" don't come across to me as very friendly. I won't spend so much time debating if a Avsim forums are a place for free speach because that just not the case, we cannot talk about certain things on this forum because it's not a public forum, it's private, owned by Avsim who have rules everyone must follow if they wish to remain here. PMDG happens to control this one and have their own rules too. They do reserve the right to such actions they feel necessary to maintain a nice place for all ages to visit and enteract. I don't know you Rich and will not pass judement upon you but I have only written words and actions to go by, my hope is that you and I can be friends and learn to make this aircraft the very best for all of us to enjoy, this is everyone's wish here, so let's be a team, do what we can either as testers or forum members to help accomplish this goal. I truly hope you see I am being honest as I can with you. EDIT for spelling![h5]Best Wishes,Randy J. Smith[/h5][h6]The Next Great one? July 27, 200322 yr 100% agree with Randy!!@ Rich :Sorry, I must admit that I have mistook you with Ron regarding the refund! Must be the time we have here in Germany right now : it
July 27, 200322 yr Dear All,Thank you for using my post as a slanging match !!Are we all adults here or just a bunch of "whining kids" ?Some of you definitely need to calm down and chill out a little ...As for my original post (thanks to the people who tried to assist) butI dont really have a answer yet, maybe someone would like to answer it correctly without getting sidetracked ?We should all be appreciative to PMDG who have provided us simmers with a potential classic, once the patch has been implemented. As for realistic terms then we should be happy with what software is out there for us to enjoy on our home PC's, If you are still not happy with that then I suggest you spend the best part of GBP
July 27, 200322 yr Hi Phil, what was the original question again :)? Oh yes, FSUIPC. To the best of my knowledge, PMDG have a licence for FSUIPC, and I think it's already included in the product.Cheers,Gosta.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg
July 27, 200322 yr Hi Phil,Maybe this will clear things up a bit. Until FS2004 FSUIPC has been a free addon. With the advent of FS2004 Peter Dobson has begun to charge for the full blown version. The new version, available on PMDG's download page, is version 3 and will be required to work with FS2004. It is a limited version without all the bells and whistles for free, but the full version cost about $20.00. This adds all the tabs across the top so that the user will have full control.I don't yet know if the limited, free version will support the 737 or not. I also don't know if the version 3 will be part of the new patch or not. If it is part of the patch, will it be the limited version or the full version? I'm guessing that the limited version will work with 737 since it is available from PMDG's WEB site.FSUIPC is required because it enables communication between the 737 functions and FS200x. Using FSUIPC meant that PMDG did not have to reinvent the wheel in order to establish critical communication between FS200x and the 737. FSUIPC already provided that communication, which allowed instruments to pass information back and forth. This meant a much shorter development time.I'm hoping that the price we paid of the 737 will include a licensed version of FSUIPC. I'm sure other addon's which rely on FSUIPC will build that cost into the product.Peter Dobson has done the industry a great service for free for many years. So many products now rely on FSUIPC that I suspect Peter needed to get paid to be able to continue offering support. Must be a full time job just supporting FSUIPC!Cuyler
